Matrix, Collector's Edition [DVD]

The Matrix is the best film in the world.... well definately one of the top 5 anyway. Admittedly I thought the 2nd and 3rd sucked and were nothing compared to the original, unless you didnt understand the plot and just liked the pretty flashing colours. But who expected it would compare to the 1st? The original Matrix is a beautifully made film with a shocking idea about our reality that will make you think. It's also packed with breath taking fight scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat, and I dont mean like that in the usual sense as in theres one quite tense bit or something, but that actually there's amazing action throughout that will keep your eyes glued to the screen. If you dont already own the masterpiece of a film, buy this 'revisited' version with loads of extra features and watch it again and again.

Whilst you watch these two decent films (the first the superior) you'll appreciate the fantastically intresting world you're entering. If teaching or doing media studies or any other analysis of film/camera work, this is a must. Apart from it being a brilliant film anyway, there is so much that you can choose to analyse from a production point of view: camera use and angles, mise-en-scene, representation and so on..and so on.. Especially good for teaching GCSE Media Studies.

I've got the bluray ultimatrix boxset I've got the steelbook and I've got the 4K trilogy and for one of my favourite films and indeed trilogy's I thought ill'd revisit this collectors item

What a load of rubbish. Typical Hollywood special effects movie lacking substance. Most people are very easily pleased judging by the lack of balance of reviews.
