Just the complete review for the exams

Very few diagrams, especially when needed. You will need to do a lot of Googling around to figure out what the author is talking about. Hemiketals and hemiacetals specifically, as well as carbohydrate Fischer to Haworth projections. I think this may have been written by a professor with substantial subject knowledge that assumes that his audience is equally as well versed, which is often not the case - and can result in frustration.Same goes for the "vocabulary" words in bold. "*Tight junctions* prevent solutes from leaking into the space between cells via a *paracellular* route" - get ready to Google "paracellular" because the book doesn't say what it is.Chapter 9/10 - Beta Oxidation mentioned several times, finally highlighted in bold in the middle of chapter 10 with no corresponding diagram or explanation - get ready to Google it, folks

Confident this will help with the MCATs this fall. Purchased for our pre med student. Response: excited to get started with these.
