Beautiful book, beautiful story
Beautiful book, beautiful story. So much fun to look for the moon - in the book and then in the sky! It's going to be a special book in our home, I'm sure. The illustrations are gorgeous and the language is lovely, but simple enough that my early reader can read it, too!

Such a cute book
I love this book. My 1.5 year old loves this book. It is so sweet and has a really soothing cadence/ pattern of sound that is nice for bedtime. I like that the characters are dressed in more modern/stylish clothes (I know that's weird but I am so sick of the mothers in children's books wearing dresses and aprons). Would definitely recommend this book.

Sweet bedtime story
My two-year-old loves this book and wants to read it every night before bedtime. It is beautifully illustrated and he likes pointing out the "yellow door", "blue door", and of course the moon! He can spot the fire engine, the bicycles, and also asks, "What's that?" What a wonderful book with a very sweet message of a mommy and son exploring the neighborhood at nighttime. So happy with this purchase.

Great for City Kids + Moms
The kid in this book isn't assigned a gender, which is nice. I have a son, though, and it's one of the few books I've found that features (what I'll call a) mom-son relationship I like. The mom isn't nagging, teaching a lesson, or doing the dishes--I see you Mamma Llama!! And while there is nothing wrong with books set on a farm or a detached home, this book is a nice reflection of city living.

Charming and Concise
My two-yr-old loves looking for the moon and charming city details on every page. It’s cute and concise enough that I’m still happy to read it, even if we’re going to bed late.

Cute mother/child story
For any mom who has taken her kiddo out at night for a peaceful walk enjoying the lights and moon this is for you. Like another reviewer mentioned it was refreshing to see a mom wearing current clothing and engaged in something so beautiful with her child. This captures the magic of a city at night and we enjoyed seeing what people were doing through the window view illustrations.

Absolutely lovely story And my 2.5 year-old gets very excited when she sees the moon peeking out. The version I got had a different cover than shown, which isn’t a big deal. I was happily reading the book until I came to the last page, and saw that there’s a big piece of it torn off. So I can’t give it as a gift, as I’d planned to, which is disappointing. It also arrived a week later than the latest date expected. Overall, a bit disappointing, but the vendor responded quickly with a refund, so very kind.
