Chaource AOP, 500g

The cheese arrived promptly & well packed with cool packs that kept the cheese in good condition. Inside the box & packing the cheese itself had no label, just a strong waxed paper wrapping.This cheese did not last long, it’s delicious & was demolished by the family during a leisurely Saturday lunch with freshly baked bread. The taste & texture are sublime - no disappointing chalky centre - it arrived in perfect ready to eat condition.I’m ordering more - it’s a luxury and an extravagance, but it’s worth it.

I am afraid I didn't really like this cheese, some parts had a very unpleasant bitter taste to it although other bits were very nice, sort of like the Curate's egg I suppose but I think I will stick to my usual favourite cheeses
