I suspect mine was a returned item because it wasn't sealed, nor was the device properly inserted in the box. Shame on Amazon for selling something like that! But all of the parts, including the three plates containing the letters, were intact so there was no point in returning it. Everything was easy to set up, albeit time consuming since you have to punch out each letter of the words in the seed phrase and carefully insert them into the slots. The plates are strong and robust. The supplied screwdriver easily removed the screws and each plate slid apart with no problems whatsoever. Once the letters were inserted and double-checked, the plate covers went back into place and the screws reinserted and installed easily. Just a note for complainers who don't read instructions (which they probably won't read this, either) and slammed the device for only having space for four letters per word when their seed phrase words contained more than four letters: all you need when entering the seed phrase is four letters. It clearly says that in the product description and if you look into the BIP-39 or BIP-44 standards, those verify that fact. The only negative thing I have to say is that the "i" tiles look very much like the "l" tiles and you have to look closely to tell them apart. I wish they had separated the dot in the "i" more.

This was my first foray into a device such as this. I think it's a very good value, and albeit somewhat tedious to install the letter tiles, it's much more friendly than the type of storage medium where you punch out little holes. A very clever system, and plenty of tiles. The build quality seems robust, and the security is on par for what it's intended for. While it did take some time to set up for a SLIP-0039 situation, it was easy and clear-cut. Would I refer another client to this system of secure seed storage? Absolutely.

Great product! Very sturdy, and letters hold in place very well. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. It had plenty of letters for all 24 words, and had a bunch still left over.

I like the sturdiness of the metal. Plenty of letters to pop out. only thing i would change is that the i and the l look very similar. i would change the l to a L to differentiate between them

This product gives me a handmade, DIY vibe from childhood. The packaging is simple and looks great—I was really surprised! I’ve known about this type of product for a long time, and after comparing prices I chose imKey. I feel like it’s totally worth the money! From the reviews, a lot of users who gave low ratings don’t seem to know that with a BIP39 wallet, you can restore the mnemonic just by using the first four letters of each word—you don’t need to memorize the entire word. Seems like they misunderstood how to use it.
