Product works very well, but it is different. But with a little practice, it becomes very easy. At first, you may think that it’s under powered but it’s just a safety device to keep you from grinding the pencil down to nothing so it takes a little while to get used to this different kind of sharpener.

I bought this at a very good sale price. It works fantastic and I have sharpened many different sizes of pencils and colored pencils also. It is fantastic for colored pencils- as it stops by itself when the pencil is sharp- no more grinding away all your pencils. I use it weekly sometimes sharpening upwards of 75 pencils at a setting. The wood shaving bin is a bit on the small side- make sure to empty it often. If it does not sharpen the point to your satisfaction- just pull out the pencil and reinsert- it will start sharping again- but be careful this time you will have to pull it out to stop the sharpening. The automatic stop has been great when I am in a hurry and not paying attention- No more grinding them to a stub! I would recommend this product!

Hands down the best pencil sharpener I have ever had! (and I've had a lot). I have students who specifically wait until they are in my class to sharpen their pencils, or stop into my room to sharpen pencils, because they love it that much. It's quick and sharpens really well! Students are always surprised at how sharp the point gets because of how quickly the sharpening is done. Will use this brand of pencil sharpener for the rest of my life!!

Homeschool mom. I love everything about this sharpener. It seems heavy duty and of good quality and I expect it to last through several school years. Had some trouble with it yesterday (7 months after purchase) where it randomly stopped working. Couldn't figure it out. This morning, I twisted it to the largest hole setting, put in the pencil, and it started working once more on every size setting. Perhaps something was just stuck in there.

I have 5 kids who use this pencil sharpener every day. I like that it stop when the pencil is sharpen. We need a heavy duty pencil sharpener.

Purchased for our home. I homeschool and was tired of using the single pencil sharpeners that end up breaking after a little while. Needed something durable. This does an amazing job sharpening all different kinds of pencils. Easy to empty and clean out. Has little suction cups that make it stick to whatever surface you place it in and it doesn't move.
