Mepp's Pike Kit

Bought these last month and have used them in a few lakes around the Midwest (WI and MI). Caught a small to med sized pike over a weekend where nothing was biting and no one was catching. Went thru numerous lures and the orange Mepps in this kite finally caught one. Unfortunately I later snagged and lost the orange lure on a log deep in the lake.Then on a lake in MI had much better success, again mainly with these Mepps. Caught a 7lb / 26" catfish with the black lure in this kit, that's my fish of the year. While unhooking in the net and lifting to snap a picture and releasing into water, I go back to my line that still had the lure just below the surface where the net was. What do you know, a smaller cat fish on the line waiting for me.Was surprised and impressed that I was able to catch some smaller bass and even caught a medium sized bluegill with the #5 purple lure in this kit. What the heck was that blue gill doing going after this big of a lure lol!Good money spent, just mad I lost the orange lure. No luck with the white one yet, but have caught on the black, purple and orange ones.

Thought these might be cheap knockoffs but the quality was great. Just got back from Canada and caught Pike, Musky, Walleye, and Bass on these lures. Used spinners and the spoon kit all week. Best week fishing Lake of the Woods ever. Strongly recommend and will buy again.

as always Mepp's never lets me down. It's too bad I have to buy online and pay for shipping, but you are buying the sharpest, durable, colorful and most of all dependable spinner available. Used these since a kid, a long time, have only had maybe 2 failures and that was caused by the user. Its nearly impossible to bend a spoon or wire unless you are really trying too hard to free a snag or just abusive in storing. I can tell you from experience that the hooks are the sharpest around. My husband had a #5 Mepp's spinner release from a pike's mouth spring back and insert into in pinky finger taking the hook past the barb and curve into and past the muscle near the bone, and he swears he didn't feel it until he started to pick up the net on the canoe bottom. I too have had near painless entry into my skin. They are very sharp to say the least. With all that said, I don't know why our WalMart doesn't carry this great spinner or any Mepp's products.

Anyone that uses inline spinner knows they always seem to produce when other spinners aren't. I was in a tough spot on a few lakes this year after I purchased the spinners and I was able to boat a few more Bass when I switched. I highly recommend them.

Bought the lures to take a few pike from the lakes in North Idaho. The pike can’t resist them. Their heavier weight makes them the perfect lure to throw far enough from the boat to give them a challenge to catch.
