Outstanding Connector
Worked extremely well with LMR400 and RG8/U. 2 11/16" Open End wrenches are needed to complete the assembly. Product pictures contain assembly instructions so be sure to download those. The instructions don't really state what the measurements of your cuts should be. Cut outer jacket back about 1/2". Fold the braid back over the outer jacket. Cut the dielectric so that it extends past the outer jacket by approximately 1/8". Slide the heat shrink, Clamp Nut, Washer, Gasket and Clamp Braid Sleeve (in that order) over the outer jacket. Fit the insulator (small white plastic/nylon/poly washer) over the center conductor and push it up tight to the dielectric. Fit the pin on to the center conductor to determine how much center conductor needs to be trimmed off. Cut off enough center conductor so that pin will sit flush against white insulator washer. Solder (or crimp) pin on to center conductor. There's a small hole in the side of the pin that will allow you to insert solder inside the pin while heating the base of the pin. Position the Body over the pin and start tightening the Clamp Nut on to the Body by hand until you feel solid resistance. This is the Clamp Nut and Washer making contact with the Clamp Braid Sleeve. Using two wrenches, tighten the Clamp Nut and Body until the Clamp Nut makes contact the Body. This will collapse the Clamp Braid Sleeve around the braid and form a tight crimp. Slide the heat shrink over the bottom half of the body and heat it up. Great looking PL259! Solid and professional.

Easy to install
Super fast and easy to install. No more worrying about melting or damaging the dielectric. I was able to install one in just over 5 minutes, most of the time was waiting for the soldering iron to get hot. It is advised however to use a hotter soldering iron because when you solder the tip on is to make connection as quickly as possible. I didn't use the supplied heat shrink because this connection was inside to the back of my SWR power meter and there was no need for a water tight connection. They are way easier and quicker than regular pl259's and work just as good as far as I'm concerned. I highly recommend these for individuals that have problems associated with installing the standard solder on connectors as soldering the braid is not required and the only soldering needed is on the center conductor. Instead of trying to solder the tip on through the little hole I pre-tinned the center conductor with just enough solder that it still fitted into tip and used a little butane torch to heat the contact tip up quickly and just long enough for the solder to flow and then dipped it into a cup of ice water to immediately cool. Instructions would be nice for some but not really necessary, just install on your coax the same way it comes apart. Its really a no brainer. I will definitely purchase again if and when I need anymore.

Would be a good idea to have instruction manual with it.
No instruction manual have to search online and hope to find it. When i buy something i expect instruction on how to use it in the packaging.
