Exception

This is a quality writing instrument smooth , good ink flow and being a square shape it feels very comfortable to use

I have a collection of fountain pens which are all used regularly consisting of Parkers, Peiikans, Caran d'Ache and Watermans. The newest one is the Exception and I must say it is a beautiful pen to use. The 18kt gold fine nib writes very smoothly. I normally prefer fine nibs, however, they can tend to be a bit scratchy (depending on the quality of the paper being written on.) The pen itself is extremely well built and oozes quality. Some people may find it a bit heavy to use though, particularly if you are used to using lighter pens. Mine weighs in at approx. 43 grams when fitted with the converter full of ink and some of you may consider that to a bit too heavy after writing for long periods. I always use bottled ink, I never use cartridges.

Waterman Exception is the best in my life, perfect balance , ink flow perfect, smooth writing... I am very happy with my Waterman . Thank you very much.

This has to be the most beautiful pen. It’s the second one I’ve had. Great balance with such smooth distribution of ink. My handwriting looks better (that may be my imagination). Was going to get a M’ont Blanc but chose this. Great purchase

Smooth, elegant writing instrument with lovely nib - came with converter and complimentary box of ink. If you like fountain pens, this is lovely - just be prepared for the squared-off section adjacent to the nib. For some, it may be uncomfortable.

Used product. The design is fine but the nib is worn to a noticeable extent. Also, the pen is rather dry. If the pen is brand new, I would give a 4 star.

Bought for my son’s 21st birthday along with some colourful ink. Well presented in a nice box and a lovely pen. My son was delighted, uses it all the time.

It is a fine pen, but it turned to be significantly smaller than the seemingly identical model it was replacing.

Perfect grip and the nib just flows with ink to make writing a pleasure. You pay for what you get and I can see the difference contrasting with pens costing $100 less. A pleasure to look and hold

articolo per la scrittura di elevato pregio, apprezzato da chi ama scrivere con stile :) forse il pennino punta fine è un po' sotto le aspettative ma per chi ama la scrittura filiforme è ottimo.

Très beau stylo Waterman haut de gamme. Sa particularité inédite est d'avoir un corps carré. Pour écrire il faut éviter de le tenir par la partie carrée car c'est inconfortable. Mais celle-ci descend très bas, très près de la section plume. Celle-ci est ronde mais tenir le stylo a cet endroit ne convient pas à de nombreux utilisateurs qui comme moi tiennent un stylo un peu plus haut. Tenir un stylo si près de la plume n'est pas confortable. C'est bien dommage, mais de ce fait, je suis obligé de le retourner en état neuf, sans avoir été encré, tel que reçu. Il est en inadéquation avec une utilisation normale. J'ai plusieurs stylos Waterman (Man 100, Man 200, Gentleman, Perspective, Lauréat, ...) je découvre cette nouveauté : un corps carré qui hélas ne convient pas.
