I've had many keyboards over the years. My favourite was a Corsair K70. It was huge, made of aluminium and I had it for a very long time before a 3rd cup of coffee killed it. Since then, I have had various chinese branded keyboards that have done the job. I decided to splash out on an RK98. Oh boy, am I glad I did. I went for the red switches because I'm sick of clicky stuff. The noise is becoming obnoxious to me. Also, my wife sits in the same room as me when I'm using my pc, so she gets sick of clicky sounds too. This RK98 is the most beautiful keyboard for typing. It's so smooth and quiet. It's also a very heavy thing. Really heavy, and I'm ok with that, but if you need something portable, look elsewhere because this keyboard will need a trailer. The RBG lighting is nice, but does not come through letters on each key, just the base of each key. That's fine. There are a lot of different lighting modes and they all look cool, but be warned; if you're going to use this keyboard in wireless mode, you will not get very much out of the battery life. This keyboard boasts of 168hrs battery life with the lights off which is incredible, but that drops to 32hrs with the lights on, which is incredibly bad. For me, I use it in wired mode and have the lights on. Weirdly, even in wired mode, the keyboard still goes to sleep after a short period of no use. I simply cannot believe how nice this keyboard is to use, the keys feel so good with the red switches, I don't want to stop typing on it. They keys don't bottom out with a loud "clack". It's so quiet. I love it very much. The Royal Kludge RK98 is my no.1 keyboard I have ever owned. I mean, "Kludge". What a name.

Look wise- very vibrant colours used on the keys and casing along with rgb. After months of use I haven’t noticed any colour fade which I was not expecting from having a mostly white keyboard in sunlight during the days. Switches- the switches are very good and responsive. They have a click sound to them which makes your mic easier to pick up the sound. Latency- I haven’t noticed any input delay through this keyboard with usb connection or dongle connection. Battery life- from my use with the keyboard the battery lasted for a good few days and while charging the battery you can still use the keyboard through the same usb connection. Ease of use- keyboard dis very easy to use straight out of the box. Just plug it in and away you go, no software needed

Originally bought the RK100 as i felt i could manage the lack of space between different function keys. turns out, i could not really and got annoyed like fellow touch typists who like typing without looking at the keyboard. Mechanical keyboards are AWESOME and the RK98 offers a good balance of function keys without too much real estate on your desk. The blue keys are LOUD (as they should be) and the red is just too laptop ish for me. I have two BROWN RK 98 now! get it. i didn;t try the keychron keyboards so i do not know if i should have but this is certainly nice enough.

I have had the device for almost a week. Here are some pros and cons I found in my time using it: Pros: -Having a full numpad is really useful if you are using the device while working. -The device is well built with good weight and satisfying switches ( I have the brown switches). -The RGB colours are nice and even throughout. - The device comes with two USB A ports. I have plugged my mouse into this and it works with no delay. - In the box are four spare switches, a charger that converts between USB A and USB C. And a keypad and switch remover. Cons: -Like most mechanical keyboards, the device is quite tall which makes it uncomfortable to type for long periods. I would say a wrist pad is essential. -The two USB A ports ONLY work when PLUGGED IN. I did not realise this prior to buying the device. - The numlock button did not work for me out of the box. After some time it began working by itself.

Comparable to other Bluetooth mechanical keyboards I have had in the past that cost 3-4 times the price. Brown caps are perfect for an office environment, not too noisy and making typing so much better. They even include some spare switches in the box which is a nice touch. RGB profiles are good and there are a good few of them, the RGBs themselves are slightly fuller than my other wired keyboards but you can still see them in a brightly lit room (better I'm a darker room)

So nice lights, colours and very satisfying noise when typing! You can keep using it as it charges so it's great! I use it to game every night and to work from home a couple of days a week and only have to charge it about once a month for a couple of hours! You know when it needs charging because the led lights start dimming to save battery!

Looks and sounds absolutely amazing. Only thing to look out for is that this is US layout keyboard, so keep this in mind

La verdad es muy cómodo y no es tan grande como otros teclados que he tenido. Se siente de buen material y resistente. El único detalle es que puede no ser cómodo para trabajar con poca luz, más que nada si se está acostumbrando a trabajar en el cuarto a oscuras, ya que, a pesar de tener iluminación, la keycaps que tiene no se alcanzan a ver mucho. Este no es un tema para mí, pero puede que para algunas personas lo sea. En general considero que fue una buena compra.

Ich wollte schon seit langem eine mechanische Tastatur haben, die meisten haben jedoch entweder nur das QWERTY Layout und zusätzlich nur das 80% Layout ohne Nummernblock. Ein Nummernblock ist mir sehr wichtig auch für die Arbeit, daher bin ich froh, dass ich diese Royal Kludge gefunden habe. Als deutsche Volltastatur finde ich sie trotzdem ziemlich kompakt – ein deutlicher Pluspunkt im Hinblick auf Platzersparnis auf dem Schreibtisch. Kabelgebundene Nutzung – einwandfrei: Ich verwende meine Tastatur ausschließlich kabelgebunden, kann also keine Auskunft über die Akkulaufzeit oder die Bluetooth-Funktionalität geben. Die Möglichkeit, zwischen drei Geräten nahtlos zu wechseln, klingt jedoch vielversprechend. Ergonomie und Anpassbarkeit: Das ergonomische Design mit verstellbaren Neigungsauslegern ermöglicht stundenlanges Arbeiten ohne Ermüdungserscheinungen. Zudem minimiert das versenkte Design der Pfeiltasten versehentliche Berührungen. Die anpassbare RGB-Beleuchtung sieht besonders im Dunkeln sehr eindrucksvoll aus - ideal für jedes Custom-Gaming-Setup. Hot-Swap-fähige Schalter: Bisher habe ich nicht vor die Hot-Swap-fähigen Schalter auszutauschen, bin aber froh, dass es die Funktion gibt, falls ich doch tiefer in das Hobby „Zusammenbauen von mechanischen Tastaturen“ einsteigen möchte. Natürlich gibt es auf dem Markt mechanische Tastaturen bis zu 500$, die durch zusätzliche Anpassungen wie "Lubing" ein noch geschmeidigeres und leiseres Tippgefühl bieten. Dennoch bin ich mit dem Sound meiner Royal Kludge vollkommen zufrieden. Fazit: Für 85€-99€ bietet die RK ROYAL KLUDGE ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Für alle, die eine zuverlässige, ästhetisch ansprechende und funktional umfassende Tastatur suchen, ist die RK98 eine ausgezeichnete Wahl.

This product surprised me. Open unpacking, I was impressed by the boxing of the product exceeding some of the higher end well known brands. Set up was pretty straight forward. I have been using it for about a week now. It feels and sounds good. It's a little shorter in length than my previous logi which took me a little time to adjust to the location of certain keys but other than that we'll built product.

This is my second mechanical keyboard, the first being a red dragon I've used for about 5 years. This is definitely a step up from that. I am an armature in the world of mechanical keyboards so take my review with a grain of salt but It has all I wanted from a Mechanical keyboard. Sounds great to me out of the box, wireless works great. I don't play competitive games so the 2.5 GHz dongle has low enough latency for me to game in wireless mode plus the silver speed switches help. Backlight is great. Only thing I customized was put a different keycap set on with a shine through legend. Typing on it is great too.
