This is a really good quality feeder and although it is expensive, the amount of bird seed it catches that can then be reused - this will save lots of money moving forward. I thought the birds in my garden were getting through a 12kg bag of seed each week but it turns out most of the seed was just dropping on to the floor. The tray that catches the seed is brill - no more seed spill on the floor, no more mice hunting round the feeders, and I'm not having to spend a fortune on new bags of bird seed. Really easy to fill and refill the bird seed and the birds love it.

This is a well thought out bird feeder with the exception perhaps of a rather loose closing mechanism on its base, as mentioned in some reviews. We wanted to customise the two we bought with baffles hanging above, to keep feed in bases dry, and hanging trays below, to prevent seed dropping to ground level (we've been in this game a long time and are wise to Starlings throwing seed everywhere) which is a problem associated with all designs but less so with this one. Birds took to it readily - but not been able to eat seed fallen through the grid, as described on the website. This base is quite deep and most UK and visiting species just don't have beaks long enough - it does mean that the dropped seed stays dry and is not wasted though. Very numerous Wood Pigeons around here did require further dissuasion from landing on the hanging trays - achieved by further customising. That is the biggest plus that we were aiming for!

A brilliant bird feeder, Bought this in May 2025 and at first it took a while for the bird to get use to a new object in the garden but as soon as it had been in the garden a few days then the fat balls disappeared quickly. The magpies love it also it's funny watching the woodpigeons balancing on the feeder. Because it's been so clean with no mess with not attracting any rodents which is brilliant because i have a pond with fish and terrapins and outdoor tortoises will be buying another this year. Downside is when the waste fat balls sit in the tray below the flies will lay eggs and you end up with maggots in the tray

I bought this bird feeder for two reasons. First, to stop bird food spillage that was attracting unwanted garden guests (aka rodents). It does a great job. The feeder’s solid, sturdy, and catches all the seeds in the tray. The second reason was to encourage small birds to feed. The crows, however, are basically the Houdinis of the bird world. It didn’t take long for them to figure out how to hang on for dear life while the feeder spins like a carnival ride. After about 5 seconds, they get dizzy and bail, but after re centering themselves, they’re back to try again. The food lasts about a day, except the niger seeds. I might try hanging the feeder from a long rope next time to make it swing even more. It probably won’t stop the crows, but at least it’ll look hilarious and make their acrobatics a bit more challenging.

Update: a couple of months on and this is the best bird feeder ever!! Worth every penny and zero mess on the floor. What a fantastic bird feeder! We have fed our garden birds for years and have been incredibly lucky living on a housing estate to see so many in our garden. However, having so many visitors ended up with a rat issue. Firstly a female and eventually her offspring. And whilst rats are incredible animals in their own right, the way we fed the birds needed to change so the rats would leave. And this bird feeder has completely changed the game. Our messy Goldfinches no longer drop seeds all over the floor and it's helped all of the rats realise that the tuck shop is permanently closed. Uneaten or dropped seeds fall into the base and can be re-used, so hardly any waste. OK, yes, pretty pricey, but we'll constructed and worth every penny so far!

. All the seed drops into the tray. When you remove tray there are 2 holes where the food then falls through. Birds are going on it and it does prevent seeds going on the floor until it is removed when some falls through the gaps. The Robin likes it, but that is it's only saving grace. Wouldn't recommend it and certainly won't be buying another one. Have now used this "thing" for 6 weeks and would have returned it on many occassions if I had kept the box ! It does prevent seeds dropping on the ground until you take the base off . The seed more or less goes straight through unless the tray is already full. As I have already said ,when you take the tray off any seed that are in the feeder fall through the holes . As time As gone by the tray frequently falls off the feeder so all the seed goes on the ground. Would not recommend. It maybe that the feeder I have is faulty but it is no longer fit for purpose. Only place for it is the plastics recycle bin. Unable to contact t seller !

Zoals te zien in de foto, ik heb de Davos model gekocht maar de grote vogelbescherming passt niet.

Denna fågelmatare öveträffade alla mina förväntningar. Maten I brickan håller sig torr trots regn och snö. Har den I och för sig Ii ett hörn så den är skyddad från två sidor. Fåglarna uppskattar den och marken under är fri från matspill.

I've been using this 6 months. I think it's the best feeder I have. Well constructed, won't rust, easily taken apart to clean. Can be used with multiple feed types and suits all small birds
