GREAT PRODUCT. WORKS WELL, NOT DIFFICULT. YALE APP works well.
Ease to installation: except not expecting the back of lock (inside to be so large. So your classic door that has (2 holes=1-Door handle Hole & 1-Deadlock Hole) usually 3" apart but won't work unless you drill new 2¹/⁸" hole for deadbolt hole. at least 6" above door handle. Ease of Use: Yale App works great (also google assistant). Super fast no delay and integration with google makes this so simple to use. Security: I like I can give every family member their own made up code 4-8 digits and I can tell who's opening the door at what time I can also give guest access from Monday-Friday and set times of day. Also, say Housekeeper from 9-11am access every Wednesday and it shows up on yale app or Google Assistant. I can even place DOOR IN PRIVACY MODE Where it locks everyone out until I take privacy mode off. You can remove any person with ease and add contact Information and have their own code. It really has great protocols for ease of use. VALUE for Money: YALE is expensive but Worth it, try set up price notification to let you know when on sale. this was thru Amazon thru the Yale Store $199 including wifi module $79 value and for same lock usually & $240-$270. Yale is expensive but you get what pay for. It's worth it. Connectivity: Works on Apple IOS and Android, plus Google Assistant. My Samsung Note 10+ Android connected fast & easy no issues and it was super fast. No delay. When using thru YALE App you have to hold down for 2 seconds so you don't accidentally unlock or lock it. There is an Autolock and Autounlock but I haven't got this setup yet, but definitely going to.

Broke in a few months. ORIGINAL: Works but a pain to install and wasn't actually NEW as stated
UPDATE 1-10-2025: lock died with the flashing X symbol on the keypad and no lock. Looking at reviews this is happening I g repeatedly because of a hardware failure. Yale is supposedly replacing it but no ETA and the new one will also be a ticking time bomb of failure. The lever arrived today and I immediately knew something was off, as the packaging wasn't actually sealed. As I opened and started unboxing everything, it became clear this was a used/returned unit, as internal packaging was torn open, small parts boxes had their seals broken, and the device had several scuffs and fingerprints already. After realizing that Amazon wouldn't exchange for the same item and the "new" price was now $30 more than I'd paid, I went ahead and did the installation hoping it worked. This was also a pain; the directions weren't clear in several spots, and one set of the included screws just inexplicably didn't thread in. Looking at the manual I was able to get the screw size and provide my own that worked perfectly. Setup after installation was alright and everything works in HomeKit and Yale's app, though the overall entire unit just feels cheap; handles have very loose fits with no set screws or other ways to tighten them, the actual lock keyway feels flimsy in the handle, etc. All in all, its working and was literally the only HomeKit enabled lever lock I could find, but between the not so new "new" condition and overall difficultly, I won't be looking to get another one of these or any Yale products.

I love this lock! Perfect for a door without a deadbolt!
I searched high and low for a smart lock that could be managed remotely, as well as compatible with a garage door without a deadbolt. This lock checked off everything I wanted! The mechanism was fairly easy to install and the instructions were very clear - still took about an hour to install and connect everything by myself. You can use either the August or Yale app to manage the lock remotely. It has worked perfectly every time we use it either in person or remotely. We have not had any issues with connectivity from the smart lock to our WiFi. It was a little pricy, but worth the investment to me to be able to operate it remotely and use the auto unlock/auto lock features! I would definitely recommend this smart lock!

There may be a better product on the market
Overall, I'd say this is an OK product. It does seem fairly sturdy, but the way that the auto-unlock works is not helpful for my use. I have this on a basement door and it's primarily for my son and his friends. The auto unlock doesn't work with his iPhone, but does work with my Samsung Android. And, the way it works is that it uses GPS proximity to the house, not to the backyard door. My hope (and expectation) was that it would use bluetooth proximity to our phones to auto-unlock whenever our phones were nearby and outdoors. That's not how it works, so it's not very convenient for us. Our hot tub is just outside the door, and with the auto-lock set, we'd have to set the time far too long to enable us to use the hot tub for 30 minutes with the door to be unlocked for that long. We can use codes, but that's a hassle. So, this lock really has not worked out the way we hoped it would. And, since we don't leave our house, the auto-unlock from GPS proximity doesn't unlock the door after using the hot tub. It would be nice to not have to use the app to deal with these situations, but that's not the way this product was designed....

Excellent Smart Lock — Secure, Reliable, and Easy to Use
I absolutely love this smart lock. I use it to secure a closet where I store important items, and it gives me real peace of mind. It connects perfectly with Google, and I even programmed it to automatically lock whenever I set my home alarm to “Away.” One feature I really appreciate is how easy it is to lock, just placing the back of my hand against the screen does the job. The black suede finish looks great, and the whole system works smoothly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to upgrade their home security.

ne fonctionnait pas 1x sur 2 retourner et remplacer par une Weiser. J'ai une autre Yale similaire d'un autre modèle qui va parfaitement bien mais je n'ai pas eu de chance avec celle là...
