What height is best for cats? The photo reviews look like 4in but that seems low to me. 7in seems high but I have a senior cat with arthritis.

We also have an old female Siamese and this dish is perfect for her. It is more natural for a cat to swallow with their head and neck in alignment. I love this feeder. It has 4 stainless bowls 2 that stack on each side and one is deeper than the other. We use the one on top. Hope this helps you decide.

Are the bowls dishwasher safe?

I have not used the dishwasher on this. I wash them by hand. I am not sure about the striping on the bowl. The bowls are easy to clean by hand.

Do they sell the bowls separately? Seems my dog works better with the 2in deep bowl and want to get another one.

I also want to get extra bowls. They should sell bowls separately.
