Perfect for watching film/TV content in bed.
I had until purchasing this been using a desktop stand for my iPad, which made watching films and TV in bed at night via the various apps a bit of a neck crippling experience! I'd been wanting to get a type of holder like this for some time, as I had a mic stand laying about unloved. This has made that stand purposeful again. No cricked neck watching all my content in bed at night now. It's great!! The clip is sturdy and keeps the holder firmly in place. If, like me, you have a U.S. mic stand with a 5/8 inch thread, you'll need to get an adaptor (can be purchased for under £3 from dealers) as this only caters for a European stand thread of 3/8 inch - and no adaptor is supplied. You're meant to order the thread size required. The iPad clips on to the holder securely, although there is a fe millimeters gap between the side grips, but it does feels very secure within the clip frame. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Solid and robust
My wife needed something to hold the iPad while she is painting - using the pad screen as a reference point. So was worried about it not being secure over a tiled floor. But this is very good, very secure and also easy to insert and remove iPad.

Superb
In my view having tried cheaper alternatives, this is the "Go To" holder for iPad 2. Very sturdy, very secure, one of the best buys in kit I've made

Would prefer a tighter fit around the iPad
Does the job for now but not the most secure fit and I have some concern that as it gets used over time it’s grip on the iPad may diminish. More below:There is some confusion regarding this product in that, whereas it is called an iPad 2 Holder here, K&M say that it is suitable for iPad 2/3/4 in their descriptions and instructions that come with it. They are all the same size except the iPad 2 is marginally thicker (.6mm) and this appears to make for a less tight fit if you have an iPad 3 or 4.Also, the holder is 2mm too wide on the 'landscape' axis. The end-supports in landscape axis are not crucial, i.e. they don't 'clip over' the iPad like the landscape clips - nevertheless it leaves a slight feeling of instability and the iPad will slide that small distance. It is worth noting that it is a fixed size with no adjustments or tightening.Aside from this the clips don't feel that secure because they don't wrap around the front of the iPad by more than about 1mm - particularly the single grip. Having said that, I have tried knocking the iPad out (over a soft surface!) and have not been able to do so. I have no doubts it will be fine but in the longer term with use, there is no margin for the plastic to loosen up at all - if it does it won't feel too secure. It needs a 3/8" thread which is pretty standard for the top of mic stands. If you have a 5/8" thread converters are readily available and cheap.I need this product as it fits on the K&M Universal Holder for the Spider pro keyboard stand. Hence I will definitely stick with it and am comfortable that it will be fine. A more secure fit would be preferred however.

BEWARE: This Stand Holder Does Not Fit All Mic Stands
I bought the Konig Meyer iPad 2 Stand Holder and the Tiger Mic Stand with Round Base - Black as suggested by Amazon believing the two were compatible. I needed them to work together for a job on Tuesday 10 March, which is scuppered due to the Konig Meyer Stand Holder not having the same thread size as the Tiger Mic Stand - consequently I am having to place an additional order for a male 3/8" to female 5/8" thread adapter. The Konig Meyer instructions mention "with thread for microphone stands (3/8" or 5/8") but the stand holder only has a 3/8" female and the Tiger Mic Stand has a 5/8" male. Damned nuisance, which means I have missed my filming opportunity tomorrow, since the thread adapter I have just ordered will only arrive after the event :(

Brilliant
arrived in good time, nice and strong - a very good product, solid build and works well - easy to snap ipad in and out. Recommend that you use aa decent quality mike stand because ipad's are heavy and the stand clamp can creep.

Just the job!
Holds my iPad 2 securely, no worries about it falling out. More expensive than similar items, but given how it much it would cost to replace the iPad worth paying a bit more for the extra security I think. Will enable me to leave behind the bag of music books I generally lug about, though I'll probably still use paper in less salubrious venues!

Product is not as shown in photos
Please note - you do net get the pole with this product. Nowhere does it tell you this, so I bought it thinking I could push the pole into my existing music stand - and hey presto. But no, the pole is NOT included. I have now had to buy a separate stand to house it. Would have been nice to have known this information before putchasing - then I wold have bought a totally different product.
