Nice clock modules with battery backup
This 2-pack of clock modules (DS3231) from Wishiot work well. They accept CR2032 batteries (not included) in order to maintain the time when disconnected for an external power source. This feature comes in handy.I use the DS3231 library from Henning Karlsen along with an Arduino Uno.The only minor complaint I have was the abnormally strong chemical smell when opening them. It was terrible.

For when you’re MCU needs to know what time it is!
These real-time clock modules are based on the DS3231 chip, and they work pretty well. They can speak to any MCU using I2C, and can operate on either 3.3V or 5V, which is very nice for compatibility across various MCUs. They keep time when “not powered” using a super-common CR2032 battery. There are a lot of libraries and tutorials written for this module, so it’s very easy to get up and running. I spot tested one of these quickly using the Arduino IDE serial monitor, and it worked great. 5 stars.
