I think there must be something wrong with the batch - the coffee has a terrible flavour and is undrinkable. No longer eligible for return or refund. Also dislike how the capsules are individually wrapped.

I've been drinking Lavazza red, strength 11 for years and have become a bit bored with the same flavour and shocked at the ever increasing price, so am happy to report that this far cheaper alternative is delicious.

I have been buying the capsule for two years now. I have always been happy. However, the last purchase contained capsules appearing different (the one on the left). I contacted customer service of caffe’ Borbone to enquire if they were the same, they said “yes, only the packaging is different “ however, I find these new capsules more BLAND. I always use two in my Latte in the morning but while in the past the flavour was strong, these last ones - in my opinion - produce a more watery taste. Is it just me?

Très bon café Borbone, compatible avec les machines Lavazza A modo mio, bien corsé et crémeux.

El sabor del café es excelente, para mi gusto es mejor que las originales que yo encuentro muy fuertes (hablo del Lavazza descafeinado a modo mio). He intentado otras cápsulas alternativas a las originales y estas son las que mejor funcionan con la Lavazza. La maquina parece adorarlas... Haré mas compras del mismo producto. Lo que me parece una pena y un punto en contra es que cada capsula viene envuelta en una bolsita de plástico... Como si no tuviéramos ya problemas con la utilización innecesaria de plástico... Al tener estas bolsitas ocupan también mas espacio y necesitan una caja mas grande...En fin, imagino que lo hacen para diferenciar los sabores aunque estoy seguro que sabrán encontrarle una solución mas amigable con el medioambiente y la economía de plastico y carton.

The coffee has very heavy and bitter flavor that is noticable even when making Americano or a latte. Having espreso on its own is almost impossible. In my opinion grind size is too small so coffe is being extracted too long adding bitterness to the flavour. All in all only price and large batch are attractive and I am curious if they have something better to offer.

Ho acquistato le capsule Caffè Borbone Don Carlo miscela nera per la mia macchina Nespresso compatibile, cercando un caffè intenso e corposo da gustare la mattina. Conoscevo già il marchio, ma non avevo ancora provato questa specifica miscela. La confezione da 100 capsule è arrivata integra e ben sigillata, con ogni capsula confezionata singolarmente per mantenere l’aroma. La resa in tazza è eccellente: crema densa, profumo forte e gusto deciso ma equilibrato, con un retrogusto leggermente amaro che ricorda il classico espresso da bar. Le capsule si inseriscono perfettamente nella macchina e il flusso del caffè è regolare, senza perdite o inceppamenti. È una miscela ideale per chi ama un espresso vigoroso e pieno, senza acidità. L’ho scelta perché unisce qualità costante e prezzo competitivo, molto conveniente rispetto ad altri marchi più noti. La consiglierei a chi vuole un caffè intenso da bere al mattino o dopo i pasti, perfetto per chi preferisce un gusto “alla napoletana”.
