Roc-lon 100% 44/45" Cotton Woven Ticking, Stripe Navy Cut by Yard

I originally purchased this fabric because I wanted make reusable, cloth Christmas gift wrappings. I knew they would look a bit "farmhouse" and primitive but I was fine with that. It works well with my vintage decor. I ended up loving it for wrapping material. I did not wash it and it is very stiff with starch but that worked great for wrapping. Some I made into flat wrappings and others into gift bags. The red color is perfect...a true medium cherry red...not scarlet....not wine. The white threads are really cream as you can see compared to the white crocheted throw. It is weighty and feels very durable. Even if I find I need to wash these wrappings from time to time, I know they will last for **years**. I even lined a wool cross-body bag I made with this fabric and the tight, heavy weave helped give the bag some body/structure. The stripe is truly woven in, not printed. I've now purchased MORE of this fabric...I don't even know what I'll make with it but it is so attractive, durable, and reasonably priced, I couldn't pass on the opportunity to have more in my stash. As I said, I haven't washed it so I can't speak to its color-fastness or shrinkage but, I suspect those won't be real issues.

I needed something to put on the screen door we used for our under stair storage area in our walkout. I wanted something that would still give the area air flow. This worked perfectly on the backside of the door to hide what was in storage, and to still fit with the Lakehouse look. Great quality and heft!

I used this fabric to make a skirt for my husband’s very large model train layout. It’s durable and easy to sew. It matches the coveralls and cap a train engineer would wear.
