Very useful
I do a lot of work around the house, and I'm pretty famous for letting the notebooks I use to write shopping lists, dimensions, job lists etc; get completely trashed. This is a nice, durable product that has kept a notebook alive for several weeks now. I'm also that much less likely to misplace it. I'll call that a small miracle. Fits nicely in my back pocket while I'm working and shopping. I never lose my pen, mini ruler or mini calipers I like to have on hand. I really like the look and feel a lot.If I have one worry its that the stitching on the pen pocket might get damaged from sliding the pen clip over it, not sure of that area could be reinforced, but I couldn't take a star away from a product I'm very happy with, for that.

Rigid
Like any similar product, this cover is stiff. I think as i use it more and more it will become more pliable. I like the xl zipper pull as well as the outside pocket that extends to the back. In the pictures this pocket is used to hold pens and I use the front for that, but the back I use for index cards. Inside there is good organization - the CC pockets are sideways so you load a card from the side vice the top and for me that's a negative.

It is tough and will probably survive the end of the world.
This is well made. My plan was to carry it everywhere, I think it is somewhat larger than I expected. I will use it. I haven't decided how to put it to use.

Does not fit field notes
Nice little cover but it does not fit field notes, it is too small.

Bang for buck
I got this with the HOPE it would help me start journaling, organize my notes better (and analogue), journal, and become my wallet. It works. Pen, pencil, highlighter, sharpie, and pocket knife stays nicely in the fold. 2 fieldbooks, cash my cards, receipts I need all fit and still fits in my back pocket! It may be a little big for some but not me. Awesome build quality, firm and flexible. Definitely recommend. And for the price!!! A steal!

Handsome, functional field journal cover.
This fabric field journal cover readily accommodates my 4-journal bundle. The cover's zipper has two pulls (so when open, there's a pull at the top and bottom) and works smoothly — no binds or snags. The interior pockets can accommodate business/credit cards, IDs, or random slips of paper. The very wide (extends across the entire width of the cover) exterior pocket has many potential uses. The cover exhibits a good deal of left-right symmetry, sufficient that the cover still functions well when used with non-conventional writing strategies.Q: Er, "non-conventional" writing strategies? A: I'm left-handed. I've found it easier to use notebooks with the primary page on the left, filling the book from "back"-to-"front". So, I organize my journals to open on the left. This cover accommodates that use with no fuss.Q: Four-journal bundle. Why? A: I use two journal streams [line ruled booklets for one, dot ruled for the other], so each bundle = two in-use booklets + two next-to-be-used booklets.Q: This cover sounds too good to be true. What's the catch? A: While this cover is very, very good, it isn't perfect. Most of its imperfections are shared with other covers. For example: The booklet bundle is held in place by sliding its front and/or back covers into pockets in the fabric cover. The fabric cover's additional pockets then create an uneven writing surface for the first and last few pages of the bundle. (FYI: This can be partially mitigated by writing in the two "middle" booklets of one's 4-booklet bundle.) A challenge unique to this cover's design is that the wide exterior pocket can't accommodate thick items while the cover is zip closed. I consider this more of a quirk than an imperfection. It prevents the cover from becoming too bulky. I like that.
