Like it so well I bought another one for my dryer!

Looks great and works like a charm and am so Glad I went with this versus a noodle board. Provides protection when stove is not in use and adds additional kitchen counter work space. Protects surface from scratches and simple and easy to move. Cleans up nicely for drips and spills from microwave too.

Loved the clean look this creates in my white kitchen. Wipes up easily or spray off in sink.

Product functioned as advertised! It is FIREPROOF! When the element was accidentally turned on it did not catch fire, it smouldered, as did the bean bag that was on the mat, setting off the smoke detector. The mat is severely scorched and I have ordered a new one to replace it. To answer to other reviewers - Yes it does transfer heat if the element is on or still hot and would not prevent a burn. But the burn will not be to the degree that it would be if you touched the element! Some reviewers state they bought it to protect pets and children. We have those also. One way or another, it is up YOU to educate your child that a stove can be very hot! It is not up to a company to bubble wrap the stove and/or your child because you're neglectful! As for pets, we have two cats. They are trained to stay off counters including the stove for sanitary and safety reasons. You don't want them jumping on the counter when you're using your cutting board! A good tool to assist with this training is a scat mat(s).

The severe flaw is if you have a touch activated stovetop it can still be turned on even with this on top of it which is dangerous. I have cats so the entire point of buying this was to prevent that. It also moves very easily so I have to place items on top of it to keep it on. I'll be experimenting with these issues because it's a hassle to return.The positives are that it's a good size for a 2 burner cook top and does seem to handle heat well.
