Difficulty drinking through the straw.
So I purchased this Product about a week ago. First let me say I commend the designers of Kor in their efforts. I personally am very critical but honest about my opinion. When researching this product, my ultimate goal was turning a new leaf away from disposable water bottles. The guilt was killing me but problem is I drink water ( which I never did) a lot. I enjoy everything about the disposable store brand bottles except that it’s disposable and a travesty to our environment. In my findings, The Kor Nova is very easy to assemble, and easy to clean. I love the slender design of the bottle. It is modern and has a nice feel to it. I love the slight spring action design in the mouth piece and the concept of the coconut filter. The bottle is a bit pricy but I feel the company is truly out to please. When I first opened my new find, I hurried to get started but found the taste of plastic and newness to be quite noticeable. So I soaked it in a combination of water, dish soap, and baking soda, for over a day. That helped considerably, but I find that taste returning as I continue use.The bottle is not insulated so you water will become room temperature quickly. You cannot infuse it for the purpose of damage to the filter. The size of the mouth piece is wider then I’m comfortable with, and needs to basically be primed each time I go for a sip/drink but the company hints in their video that it’s necessary because of the filter. I’m not sure if it’s the amount of effort of sucking or the actual coconut filter that leaves a dryness on the roof of my mouth therefore I never get that quenched satisfaction. I’m not sure this will suffice long term as I so wanted it to, and feel I will keep searching for the right fit for me. On the flip side, each day of use is less disposable plastic waste added to our landfills.

Great bottle!
Before I go into my review I just want to let everyone know that the filter goes into the filter straw with the plastic tab down. The picture on the instructions was very unclear and I actually contacted KOR to confirm which way the filter went into the straw.I just want to start out my review by saying I have had this bottle for about a year and I have been using it almost every day. Initially I liked the bottle a lot; it seemed to work fairly well at getting rid of the chlorine taste from the drinking fountain at work. I also liked the functionality of it, with the straw that can close and be protected from dirt/dust.The issues I'm having are as follows:The first major issue I'm having with it is a small rubber gasket piece fell out of the part the straw screws in to. It looks like it was there to regulate the water pressure within the straw. I believe it was to keep the water from falling back down into the straw after you take a drink. This is annoying because it started out as a quiet water bottle but now every time I take a sip, the water noisily rushed back down the straw (it sounds like a frog).I don't feel like it's filtering as well as it used to, even though I have been replacing the filters. It has become harder to keep clean, I used to go a week without having to clean it, but now I feel like I have to clean it every day.The last thing I am noticing is that if it gets turned upside down, water leaks out, even with the lid fully closed, this may be related to the rubber gasket, but I don't know how to get that replaced. I have a co-worker with the same bottle and the same thing happened to him. It falls right into your water bottle; the filter will stop you from being able to swallow it though (fortunately!).Please leave a comment if you have any questions and I will do my best to answer them.Update: I contacted KOR and after I filled out the warranty claim form, they promptly sent me a code to get a free replacement lid. I was happy with the process, as I didn't have to go through the hassle of sending the faulty part back. I changed my rating to 5 stars because it seems that my water bottle is back to functioning like normal. I left the description of the issues I was having so that if other people experience the same thing, they will know what to do.

Great design and functionality in every respect
Coming from a Brita filter bottle, everything about this water bottle makes perfect sense. The product video states that, in the minds of other manufacturers, the concept of "flow" is largely an afterthought. In regards to the Brita bottle, that statement hits the nail on the head! The Brita bottle used a small silicone straw that would kink when the nozzle was folded down in order to shut off the flow of water. This would do so marginally, and even worse, would cause the silicone to remain kinked when the nozzle was opened again. Over time, this resulted in me having a really hard time getting any water out of the bottle without a great deal of suction. With the Nava, the shape and overall design of the nozzle and straw are well thought out. The Brita bottle would leak from the top of the nozzle (even when closed) if there was ice in the water. There's not a whole lot that can be done about that really, but the Nava's nozzle has an integrated valve that closes when you close the cap, so it never leaks! The oval shape of the bottle is a but off-putting at first, but it fits your hand quite well and still fits in most automobile cupholders (at least partly). The rubber lined base is great to avoid marring furniture, and the rubber lining on the handle is a nice touch. The fact that the filters are made from coconut shells is great. I should have known, but I had not considered the fact that carbon filters made from coal can contain heavy metals and other undesirable contaminants. I've worked in coal-fired powerplants, and "beautiful, clean, coal" is not a thing that exists. I'm extremely satisfied with this water bottle, and I look forward to using it every day (not a feeling I thought I could have about a water bottle).

Well worth the price. - for 6 months or so.
Extremely impressed with this bottle, mouthpiece is a soft plastic and retracts, making it very comfortable to use on a treadmill (No more accidentally hitting your teeth), it's very easy to drink from without the filter in and the filter doesn't change it much, we're looking forward to finding a place where the filter might make more of a difference to the taste of the water, where we are now the tap water is very drinkable.Got this for my wife and didn't expect to care for it as much as I do, will be buying another soon for me as well. At first I thought it was very expensive but wanted to get my wife the best and now that I have it I can absolutely understand the price, can't wait to get my own.- That was my original 5 star review. The bottle now leaks when not left completely upright, making it useless to me as I throw it in a bag. I spoke to their customer service and they are happy to send out a whole new top to solve the leaking issue, only problem is they only send it out if you live in America.Apparently the issue is a small valve, apparently that's too hard to ship at a lower price ($13.00 plus any duties, tax or other fees). At first I was very impressed by their customer service but now having a useless bottle which cost £20 and lasts 8 months seems very disappointing.I was excited to buy a new bottle from them for me/my wife but the quality is not up to par.Update:Bottle now leaks when running or moving at all.

One of the best water bottles I have ever owned
One of the best water bottles I have ever owned. Really well thought out and designed to prevent the water from spilling and keeping it tasting great. the only problem i can foresee is that the replacement filters are currently nearly the same price as the bottle making it expensive to maintain every 6 months.
