Dust Right Flexiport Power Tool Hose Kit, 3 To 12' Expandable Hose & 4 FlexiP...

I tried to find a way to adapt my 2.5" shop vacuum hose to my hand tools. It doesn't work. What is really needed was a separate smaller 1.25" hose for all my hand tools, and keep the 2.5" hose for the table saw and planer. Everything else I use this hose. I bought a couple of extra fittings, so all my tools are now covered. This hose is expandable, and under vaccuum it shrinks. Because of this, the hose tends to pull as you use it, but the fitting fit firmly, and it's not bad because it keeps the hose out of the way. The fittings are simply the best, and way better than any other 1.25" hose design. I like the expandable design, and the hose is small and neat when not in use. It's just a solid product, not expensive, and way better than any other hose out there.

Bought this because I'm doing a LOT of sanding of hardwood and wanted to improve dust control. So far I have only used it on a couple of de Walt random orbital sanders . It's a great improvement over trying to attach the standard shop vac hose with adapters, and more importantly keeping it attached. There's a router and a mitre saw in its future, so rating may change. There are minor niggles that make it a 4/4.5 rather than 5 star, and those have already been mentioned in lots of previous reviews. Assembly, such as it is: worth taking the time to get the end pieces properly mated with the hose. It's obvious how they attach, but a bit fiddly. Attaching it to a Shopvac: Not a problem with my Rigid, the OD of the included adapter is a snug fit for the ID of the shop vac intake. Haven't needed to reach for the duct tape. Attaching/detatching the adapters to the hose: as others have mentioned release is very stiff, you have to press quite hard to release the hose. Attaching to tools: fits two different models of sander without difficulty. The design of the dust ports on these doesn't really allow use of the circular clips included in the kit, but the connection is perfectly good. I'll eventually leave it permanently one of the sanders. The hose: gets pretty stiff when the shop vac is running. Think if you stretched it out to the nominal 12' it would be trying very hard to return to 3', probably with enough power to drag the shop vac with it, so I've been working with the shop vac close to me/the work piece. Not a showstopper so far, but could see this being irritating in some cases. Overall: a good upgrade for a DIYer, and worth the money.

I don't love sanding but this works very well to keep sawdust off my workpiece and it off the air. I've only used it with my orbital sanders quickly swapping back and forth. The hose is a bit rigid, but not bad.

I expected to be able to use this on my shop vacuum (Rigid). Expectation came from the advertised "2.25 inch OD swivel port fits standard shop vacuums". It doesn't (my shop vac has a 2.625" opening). Nice product otherwise. I'll need to find an adapter if I can.

Purchased this set during the last Prime Day Sale. It has exceeded my my expectations . It is a nice upgrade to my HF Hercules Dust Extractor which was already a excellent upgrade for my small wood working shop. Turned the Dust Extractor into a true beast! All of the Rockler Dust Right Flexiport Power Tool Hose Kit fittings have been compatible with my power tools with the exception of Skil Table Saw ( Purchased a adapter for it and it now also works with this Hose Kit.

A pleasure to connect to all my saws and sanders. Sure beats the stiff plastic hoses that come standard with shop vacs. I love that it stretches so far and returns back to 3 feet for easier storage. Thumbs up flexiport👍🏻
