I have used Alfred for years via my phone; it's fantastic that you can make any phone, laptop, or tablet a security camera, so of course, when I saw the actual Alfred cam on Amazon - I purchased it instantly! I am thoroughly impressed with its performance! This camera is a reliable and advanced solution for safeguarding my home in a world where security is paramount. Perfect product way to go Alfred you did not cease to amaze! I'll try to be as detailed as possible and not leave anything out positive or negative so here it goes.. I've used the Alfred App for several years to turn old smartphones & laptops into home security systems for free or sometimes I'd pay for the subscription which costs about the same price as this camera did and was good for a whole year. (Pretty decent when you dont even have to buy extra equipment at all!) With the Alfred App I've caught my son a few times knocking things off the wall and then immediately yelling (lying to me) "MOMMAAA...UHH YEAH THIS THING JUST FELL MOM I DONT KNOW HOW BUT IT JUST FELL!" (ME: Straight-faced: oh yeah it just fell did it? Lol) And other incidents a little more serious and I have always appreciated Alfred's completely user/beginner-friendly set up in all of their options! I don't know about anyone else, but I've ordered actual little hidden cameras online before- but I don't remember the brands, but I never could figure any of them out..ever! (And I'm usually pretty good with electronics and stuff like that) -but they all got returned after the first day of no success. So this is REFRESHING to FINALLLY be able to say that in 5 real MINUTES, I had REAL SUCCESS and the IMPECCABLE QUALITY of the success is UNMATCHABLE to say the least!! I can't believe the image quality for this price I was blown away as soon as I saw it! and you don't normally get the actual wall adapter to go with the USB cord these days with a lot of products so I thought that was pretty thoughtful of them to include! All of the items in the box were definitely carefully packaged with safety for its condition during delivery in mind. Now, if im being 100% honest here, even with my appreciation for the Alfred App already, the downside of using it with just a smartphone was always the same 2 issues being the image quality was usually not too great but for free, how can u complain, when it's basically depending on whatever kind of phone you're using for the camera. The other issue was the fact that on a smart phone, even with the subscription, you could not continuously record and if you were watching it and manually recorded an event, or using the motion sensor feature it would only record up to 30 seconds at a time. I believe it was only up to 5 seconds without the subscription (free version) With this camera they have definitely solved both of those issues and far exceeded my expectations! I can't stress that enough how impressive it all is. The only issue that I can think of that is throughout the free version / subscription version / actual Alfred Camera, that I still don't see any solution for is the siren feature. You cannot set up to go off unless you manually set it off. I think if they could somehow update the firmware for the Alfred Camera to set off the alarm maybe if the motion detector was triggered in certain areas during specific time frames like at night only upon entering the door you know something like that then i think that would be more than impressive. Even if they don't do anything about the siren, you will not at all regret owning this- I already want to buy 2 more and my first-one-ever just came an hour ago and I ordered it yesterday, so, you can't beat that! I hope this helps anyone else like me on a budget that needs pretty immediate security on their stuff, or their home, or their loved ones this is the one you want to try! I dont ever even take this much time to review anything . I maybe have put a good or bad review on a few items ever but I'm just a regular customer, paid the full price for my purchase, & that was thoroughly impressed enough that I thought others needed to know!

I bought the camera and a years service. The camera is OK. Not great, not bad, just OK. The software the service uses constantly drops the connection. The auto-reconnect does not reconnect. After several emails I determined that support is just a series of instructions that the paying customer use to fix it themself. But it can't be fixed because it is the Alfredcam software that doesn't work. And tech support is nonexistent. Every email ends with "If you don't need further assistance, we will close your ticket in 2 days." So their nonsupport has a time limit? The message is 'Shut up and go away. C Gonzalez

Worth buying the Camera as it never goes offline and does not need rebooting like a mobile does.

Genial. Aconsejo probar la app de Alfred Cam. Puedes usar cualquier móvil viejo como cámara de seguridad. La cámara también tiene una calidad excelente. Puedes probar descargándote la app primero y probar a usarla con un móvil viejo y si te convence añadir una cámara de la marca.

Davvero eccezionale! Si installa con estrema facilità, tre passaggi, ottima qualità video (premetto che ho un abbonamento premium). In assenza di luce la visione è in bianco e nero ma molto chiara. Si posiziona facilmente ovunque e la rotazione della videocamera è fluida e precisa. Molto molto soddisfatto!!!
