Good for Mice not for Rats
Purchase and left outdoors where I have seen signs of mice. Has worked very well using chunky peanut butter as bait (seeds did not attract them). One trap captured over a dozen outdoor mice at this point. Was capturing 2-3 a week until my trap broke (i suspect a possum may have broke it) after a little over a month of use. However my second trap did not catch any. Moved the second trap to where the first location to replace broken trap and has since cought about 1 every two weeks. This may be that their are just less mice, or they have learned not to fall in trap. Also required replacing the ramp every two days (should have a better way to secure them as i would rather set it and forget it).Review: Very effective for mice (would not recommend for rats). Placement is very important and baiting may need to be changed depending on local mice taste. Trap is effective but will brake easily and ramps keep falling off. Overall was happy with traps but would prefer the ramps have some king of lock or better secure method to the lid. Also housing should likely be reinforce for larger animals not to break them when placing them outdoors.

Waste of money
The lid does not secure to the bucket in any way shape, very flimsy but for the price I kind of expected it to be... this product does not work. The squirrels knock over the trap or open the top and get the nuts and stuff out of the trap.. I used zip ties to hold my lid onto the bucket but still hasn't worked.

AMAZING PRODUCT!
This product is amazing!Saw a similar product at my local home improvement/hardware store and thought that it was the perfect solution for the garage that is attatched to the house because we didn't want our outside cats to have access and possibly get hurt by getting up inside our vehicles or use any sort of poison and possibly have our dogs find and ingest it.I stood right in the store and searched Amazon because I knew there had to be a cheaper but still effectve alternative to the one they were selling.Sure enough! I got 2 for less than the cost of the single one the store was selling! Shipping was fast!!The 2nd day of using them, we got a mouse!!! I choose not to use water in the bucket to eliminate them but instead, just humanely catch and release them down the road. Thanks for a wonderful, effective and more affordable alternative!!!

high quality, but haven't caught anything
I got the 2-pack and they seem very high quality and well made. They fit great on the standard 5-gallon buckets from Lowe's. The ramps are sturdy enough, and the bait compartment was easy to load (I used a little bit of bread smeared with peanut butter). The high quality plastic makes me feel like these will last a long time.I took off one star because I haven't caught anything after these sitting out for about a month now, indoors, where I have seen mouse activity. They seem like really clever traps, but they just don't seem to work (or maybe my mice are too smart?). I even saw a mouse go up the ramp and got excited...but checked the trap later and no mouse inside. I guess he must have gone down the ramp on the other side? I feel like, for the amount of mice I have been seeing, these traps should have caught SOMETHING after a months time. So I can't say that they are very effective. I will continue to leave them out, along with my snap traps, and see if they start to work...

Seems like a gadget that mostly doesn't work as expected.
These were a little cumbersome to set up, but not really bad. They have been set up now for over 2 weeks and no mice have been caught. (Mice have still been caught in traditional snap traps during this time, so we know there are mice.)These sit on top of a 5 gallon bucket and have the ramps that stick out on 2 sides, which makes them take up quite a bit more space than I'd like.In previous years, we have used similar homemade type bucket traps that have caught mice. I would probably suggest saving your money and checking out some youtube videos of how to make these yourself.

Worked Great!
I had a mouse nest in my shed. I counted about 8-10 of them when I was cleaning it out. First try I left it out for 3 nights and caught a total of 7. Works really well. When putting the bait holder onto the bucket lid, make sure to push them tight until they snap. When I first started putting it together, the bait trap kept coming off easily. My bait was: peanut butter, bacon bits and some crushed up potato chips. I don’t see anymore of them for now at least. Great product

Nice looking Product & very easy to assemble in just minutes. Review Updated on, 7/16/2023
I just received & put together one of these great looking & possibly promising Mouse Traps today which was very easy to assemble & took just under 1 Minute. It actually fits my Clear 3.5 Gallon Buckets from The Home Depot unlike so many of these type of Mouse Traps that do not fit all 3.5 or 5 Gallon Buckets that are sold out there on the Market. I shall now see in a week or so, how many Mice I have trapped & drowned under my House just to see if this Product is as amazing as it looks from its unique Design, its never accessible teasing Mouse Bait Chamber & the dual Entrances with dual Mouse Ladders.UPDATE 7/16/2023: I have now changed my rave 5-Star Product Review on this Product to just 2-Stars as for, I have not trapped or caught one single Mouse underneath my Old House since the 1st Day that I set this Mouse Trap up & placed it underneath my House which was well over an entire Month ago. I have always trapped Mice underneath my House using standard reusable Snap Mouse Traps which I took out & replaced with this Mouse Trap Bucket Design. I have a bad feeling that the Mice are still down there but are just too smart, & too wise to go & fall for trying to eat & get Bait from this design of Mouse Trap and are just staying away from it without any interest in it. I no longer recommend it for trapping Mice or even Rats because the results are weak & disturbing to me. I will be going back to the reusable Snap Mouse Traps underneath my House & donating these Bucket Mouse Traps to my local Charity Thrift Store.

Worked great.
We live out in the country and had a mouse infestation in our chicken coop. The first night we put this out, we caught probably 20. Over the course of the first week, we got probably 150. The only issue was the chickens pecked the top where the "food" goes, and broke it. They are made of cheap plastic, and the "ramps" come off easily, but they worked so well that we ordered more to put in our shop and garage.
