Easy setup, works!
I have old dsl service and this works. Easy to setup. There were no instructions but I had no trouble and I am not techie.

It is adequate for the job.
It was easy to set up and configure, and it it automatically connected with our Centurlink DSL (we didn't even need the DSL password) This modem/router does what it is supposed to do, with little problem. There is a speed problem, but that's NOT a modem/router problem; it's at the source of fhe DSL signal. I would recommend this modem/router combo.

Great DSL Router/Modem!
Strong wifi! 2.4 and 5Ghz. Never stops with strong bands for wifi. Good product for DSL internet services, CenturyLink, is my ISP provider! It's better than cable, Cox for example, pay too much, whereby my ISP charges $45 lifetime a month, no tax. Cox bills went higher every month for no reason. Told em next time I call for a high bill, I'm gone. I have 80 GB download and 12 gb upload. Fast.

This modem is REGIONAL!
It may be a good modem, however we will never find out. It would have been nice to know that it only works in certain regions before we spent $165 on it to use as a paperweight. After 2 weeks of frustration trying to get it working, Centurylink was contacted. Thinking that there was a problem with the line and they could fix it. There was a problem they had to run a new line. But the biggest problem was that the modem is regional. We don't know what region it's good for, but we know it's not western Washington. The Centurylink tech said that we would need to buy a different modem. So more money was spent on another modem. If we could get out money back the rest could be forgotten. Alas!

Ridiculously over priced
The only reason I bought this modem/router is because my previous one failed. I work from home and can't be down for a week or two waiting for another internet installation. I'm pretty sure that's the only situation that keeps CenturyLink in business. The modem works. It was easy to set up and connect my devices. The WiFi is weak, as has been the case with every CenturyLink modem I've owned. I don't know why, but it's just lame. I have an 1800 sf house, 2 levels. The WiFi in this modem can barely provide a strong signal over 1/2 my house. Previously, I have connected a cheap external WiFi router to the CenturyLink modem and disabled the internal WiFi. That provided a HUGE improvement to my WiFi signal, but caused other connectivity issues that I was unable to resolve. And CenturyLink recommends against this configuration. Surprise, surprise. Overall, I'm moderately satisfied with this modem/router but it is ridiculously overpriced. I highly recommend dumping CenturyLink and moving to another solution if you're able. But the cable companies are just as sleazy, so I know that choice isn't great either.
