Parmida 5CCT 4 Inch 9W Baffle LED Recessed Downlight

Ok I can make this review a novel but I won’t but let me just say this. These are the best LED lights on Amazon at a reasonable price. I don’t write reviews for things which I should because I use reviews religiously to pick products but these lights were so great I had to. Let me make this as brief as possible, I have bought 8 different LED lights to see which might work with my newer model digital dimmers and these lights ended up being the perfect lights that fit my needs and checked off every single item on my wish list. First I bought 70 Sunoco lights but those stayed on ever so slightly (I only noticed at night) even when turned off when used with the digital dimmers so I had to uninstall all 70 of them and send them back. (Thank you Amazon for accepting my return) next I went out and bought a few at the depot and Lowe’s but those were more than double the cost of the Sunco lights and with having retrofitted all the lights in my new home I was trying hard to be budget minded so I ordered singles of 7 different LED down lights that were reasonably priced and had good reviews. Long story short out of all 8 of the lights I tried these were the only ones that worked absolutely perfectly. The spring that are used to mount them which I thought at first might be an issue were actually the best way to install them once I learned how to do it and got the hang of it. ( open the metal prongs so they are outstretched before placing it in the housing and then spin them to lock them tightly in place) I can’t say enough about how happy I am with the quality, fit and finish and look of the lights and the fact they dim all the way from just 5% up to 100% is really awesome. These are the perfect lights look no further.

Until now, every downlight that I had installed into my 4" cans had one of either 2 problems: they would buzz, or the dimmest level was still far too bright (or both). This product has neither problem. Whereas the dimmest setting on most of the others that I have tried has been about 10% of full brightness, these seem to go all the way down to ~1%. Indeed, using my Lutron Caseta dimmer (with which they seem to be completely compatible) I can set the brightness in one percent increments, and see a difference between 1% and 2%. This makes a huge difference when it comes to having gentle mood lighting.The installation clips took a little getting used to (you just have to rotate it counter-clockwise once pushed in), but were effective. The brightness response is also a little odd: setting the dimmer to 20% is not much brighter than at 10%, similarly 30% is not much brighter than 20%. However 40% is enormously brighter than 30%, same with the transition from 40% to 50% and from 50% to 60%, before the step in brightness diminishes again as you go through the remaining 10% increments. I was expecting a linear response but it's more like an S-curve. This isn't a problem for me as I'll likely keep them at 30% or lower, but was odd to see.At 100% brightness these lights are very bright indeed - I have a hard time believing they're only a 65W equivalent as they seem to be more like double that, but that's just my subjective impression. They're rated at 2700K and seem to match the 2700K bulbs I have in the next room almost perfectly. For $6.50/light these are a steal - I'd happily have paid 2-3x that for this close to perfect product.

Ace Hardware wanted a lot more for these lights. I am 81 years old and I replaced 5 burnt-out lights with these myself. And these appear to be a better quality than my old lights.

On the whole I have been pleased with this product although I am disappointed with their reliability. I bought these in 2019 and use them in my closet and hallway. Hence they do not get used for most of the time. I have had 3 failures (25% failure rate) to this point (Oct 2023), which I consider excessive.

No complaints, great value, good quality fixture, nice lighting. For interior lighting these worked great and are a good value. I also purchased the "8 Pack Bioluz LED 4-inch 12Watt 90 CRI Dimmable LED Retrofit Recessed Lighting Fixture - 2700K LED Ceiling Light - 910 Lumen Recessed Downlight UL-listed JA8 CEC Pack of 8" for bright outside lighting. I can recommend both.

Very easy to install. Exactly what I was looking for. I thought the 4” would be to small until I saw them installed. Have already ordered 6 more for another bedroom. As for cost, I paid more then double for the same light a year ago at big box store.

Not as high quality as the Halo's from HD. But not $25 each either. Good quality for the price.

Just installed 60 of these in our house after a major remodel. Not one light failed, they look great and dim beautifully! I used a Lutron Caseta dimmer to dim them. Hard to beat at this price!Edit 9/17/20OK, we got three years out of these. Even the ones on regular switches are beginning to flicker. I guess I really can't complain THAT much considering the price. Getting ready to buy 60 more of a different brand and hoping and additional 3 years of LED development will yield better results.

I bought it couple months ago, not used a lots but one burned out so far. Tried to contacted with saller to replace but or refund but they didn't accepted.
