When compared to a brushed motor, brushless has more power. Less energy is wasted as friction (heat) since the rotor and stator have an air gap between them. A brushed design has brushes that make contact as the rotor spins. That generates friction, heat, and they eventually wear out and need to be replaced. Brushless motors are more complex and expensive but do away with that, generating more power output at the rotor for the same power input. In addition, brushless motors tend to be smaller. This means the drill and impact driver are both smaller than my old ones, and this is critical for the drill. I am a big fan of Irwin Speedbor drill bits - specifically the three-bladed bits with flutes and the screw nose. That pulls the bit through wood, making it quick and easy to drill holes at least until you get to the back edge. Anyway, drilling holes through joists or studs to pull wire where the framing is already fully installed can be difficult or impossible without a right-angle drill: the drill and bit can be wider than the stud/joist cavity (14.5"). However, a 4" Speedbor bit in this drill (shorter because brushless) easily fits in a standard stud cavity with plenty of room to spare. I no longer need to beg borrow or steal a right-angle drill. The impact driver is an impact driver. Nothing special to report on that, just that it does its job as one would expect. Same with the charger. I like that this kit comes with a 4AH battery. Many of DeWalt's kits come with wimpy 2AH batteries. Those will not last as long - half as long, to be precise. Better to have the extra longevity to get the job done without swapping batteries in the middle. This may be more expensive than the non-MAX variety, but it is worth every penny and I regret nothing. Go big or go home! Update: After a year and a half of use and abuse, these tools are still going strong. They may be nicked up and dinged up, but they just work and work well. Since buying into this battery system I have bought a few other tools and I am even more grateful for the 4AH battery. I use it for the orbital sander and the extra runtime over a smaller battery is nice. I also bought a 6AH battery. Swapping between them when sanding bigger projects works well and I never run out of juice, thanks to the rapid charger in this kit. As far as I am concerned there are two power tool systems worth buying: DeWalt 20V Max, and Milwaukee Fuel. You spend a little extra money up front, but you also don't need to replace a broken tool a few months later which is actually more expensive in the long run. Review: I bought these tools for my small project at home, I need to use both driver and drill. I bought this combo kit and so far working great. The only thing I missed out was the charger input watts. I stay in 240 watt country and this products were made in USA 🇺🇸 and charger came with 110 watts. To solve this I had to buy converter to be able to use 110 watts 😅

I was in the market for a new drill/driver combo to replace my old 18v Dewalt stuff which has served me incredibly well over years of home diy and woodworking projects. After much research and deciding, I went the whole hog and grabbed this M2 brushless set. All I can say is 'wow'! These new brushless motor tools are just amazing compared to my old 18v stuff - and I considered them pretty good. This M2 set is US made so the top of the line - all metal chuck on the drill, super high quality. The new brushless motors make these tools a little more compact and lightweight than the old stuff. The M2 set comes with 4ah batteries which literally go all day and charge quickly with the supplied charger. The drill motor is quieter and much smoother than my old brushed 18v one. The 4ah battery set (the M2) comes in a Dewalt carry bag not a case, and includes the brushless hammer drill and impact driver, 2 4ah battery packs, charger and hammer drill side handle. Added some unboxing photo's. The clutch on the drill is now electronic, so its much quieter - the first time i needed to use a lower clutch setting, I honestly thought it wasn't working its that quiet now. I've built a 9' x 8' shelving unit in my garage this weekend using these and did the whole thing on one charge. Battery life as I said is a huge improvement. The led's on both drill and driver and now highly useful - on the old drill the led was in an awkward place - in this, its just above the battery pack and even has settings for brightness and how long it stays on. In my dimly lit garage this has proved to be a godsend building some shelves after dark! The impact driver is lightweight and powerful - it's the 3-speed model, it seems like a useful feature but to be honest I've just used it solely on normal speed. The 3 led's that light up your screw are really bright and good. Overall, I'm blown away by the quality of this set, and the improvements with brushless motors, battery life and led placement over my old 18v drills. I'd happily recommend this set to anyone, probably the best tools I've purchased. Hope that helps.

It's a USA 🇺🇸 made which is the best of the best I'm really happy with this combo kit And shipping to UAE was super fast Note: you will need a voltage converter adapter so you can charge the batteries because the charger that comes with it requires 110 voltage output only
