Every other solution I looked at to strap my kayak on my roof involved running a strap around the roof, through the passenger department. NOT an attractive idea for me. These worked perfectly on my 2017 Acura MDX. Hooked right into the frame under the weatherstripping, held very securely and out of the way. Perfect for my needs.

Installed these for a camping trip, 600 miles round trip at speeds of 65mph-80mph with NO movement of goods whatsoever.Recently used these to tie down a new kayak in the plastic wrapping with absolutely no movement at all.

It works very well at what it's designed for.But pulling down the car door weather-stripping pretty much makes the entire strip around the door frame loose and easy to remove. I guess once the seal is lost that's it for the whole thing. And water now finds it's way in during heavy rain.I enjoy what they were purchased for, and they perform well, but I'll have to remove them if I know there will be rain.They are sturdy, and have not let me down. I use them to hold a rooftop cargo basket in place.

These made it on an almost 500 mile trip with a 15 L bag completely loaded down on the roof with various items heavy and light. The hooks were on a 2010 8th generation Honda Civic.

After two set of rails at over $120 and back and forth emails. I decided to give these a try. Let me tell you i should of done these the first time. Easy to install, and really feel secure.

The straps fit good on my Nissan Rouge and should do the job. I don’t have a roof rack. I have not taken them on a trip yet but I’m going to use them on a long trip in about a week and will update this review then.

These did not fit within the weather stripping in my Honda hrv, but thankfully I was able to kind of smoosh them and they stayed put for my cross country trek.

Love these things. I wouldn't use these on an older car with a worn out door seal, but they worked great on my 2020 Camry. The only negative is that it does create an air gap so you get a little more wind noise in the door, but otherwise they worked awesome.I used them to tie a luggage bag to the roof of my car for a long 12 hour trip the the coast. I'm going to probably use them to transport my Christmas tree in December too.
