Motion sensor works well. Sensitivity is great and is easily adjustable. Was easy to install.

Out of the box this device is just fine — it's all plastic, detects very well, fairly thin wires but that's OK. I took mine apart to look at the internals: the circuit board is clear and understandable, there's a solid trace for the relay common to line voltage, and a decent SHORI S3H-12B-1AS relay good for 15A. I wanted to turn this into a dry contact sensor, so I cut the trace to the relay common, detached the R3 leg on the other side of the relay common, wired that to AC1, and tapped into the relay common to run a fourth wire out through the neck. This worked great, despite my amateur soldering, and the device went back together without much trouble. For ten bucks I was very pleased.

I bought this as a replacement for an existing 3-panel LED flood. The original sensor was flaky to start out with, and the lens had broken, making it worse. This replacement is mostly plastic, but looks and works just fine. Installation was easy; just swap over the three wires. The sensing arc and distance are adjustable. I have mine set to max on both, and the arc is truly the advertised 180 degrees. Range is great; I get about 100 feet or more. Definitely a good deal.

I got a motion light off of Amazon - and discovered that the motion sensor didn't work work well. The range was off - and even at the highest sensitivity level, you had to be 1/2 way up the drive before it came on - and sometimes the light would go off too quickly. I was afraid I was going to have to throw it out. I liked the light itself - but the motion sensor was bad. On a whim, I decided to see if I could find a sensor to replace the one I had. This one was well reviewed - so I thought I would try. Interestingly, when I got this one, the shape was virtually identical to the one I was taking off. The only real difference was the connector into the light - and that the one on the light itself had on branding. I was concerned that this might be just like the one I was taking off. As I mentioned, the connector was different (the one on the existing light was snap in - and this one had a plastic nut that screwed into the light). The hole was really the same though - and there wasn't quite enough space for the nut inside the light - but I made it work. After it was running, I saw it definitely wasn't like the one I was replacing. The sensor was adjustable and I got it to work just the way I want. (The light comes on when I'm at the bottom of the drive - but doesn't come on for cars that pass in the middle of the road.) If I wanted to nit-pick, the daylight sensor seems a bit weak - and even if it is a dark gray day, the light will come on (even though it is light enough that it isn't needed). But on somewhat brighter days it works as expected. That's not enough of a problem for me to take off a star. For the price this was a great solution - and it kept a bit of electronic garbage out of the landfill for some more time. I recommend this one.

I added this Motion sensor to a led flood light that I was putting up over my driveway. The sensor is very easy to install in the round outlet box I got. The wiring is very simple and the instructions are easy to follow. The fun part is adjusting the sensitivity and how long you want the light to stay on for. The timer is easy I just can’t decide. Adjusting the sensitivity is time consuming to get it just right where cars and people walking by do not set it off. I wouldn’t be as concerned if the light I added it to wasn’t so bright.

Old sensor suffered from broken lens cover making it unreliable. Replacement fits exactly after removing old sensor and wire new one per instruction Thanks Amazon and China for making this available.
