Trangia 25 Series Multidisc for use as a Collander, Lid

Well made , and fits the Trangia perfectly.

How useful can around piece of plastic with some holes and notch cut out of it be? Well it turns out very useful. As a keen Trangia user I like to prepare and cook meals away from home. I try to avoid taking pre-cooked things to reheat or just opening a can, this often means cooking from scratch and as such have a need to chop things. I had been using a small, rectangular, chopping board that I had to carry separately, but now I have this multi disc I can fit the chopping board in my Trangia cook kit. I was a bit concerned that it would be too small and the food would fall off the edge of it, and while it is not as large as your chopping board in your home kitchen, I have found it more than adequate during use. I have not had the opportunity to test it as a strainer to pour off the cooking water from pasta, however, I can confirm the pot grips fits perfectly in the cutout notch, and I can see no issue using it, however, as a left-handed person, the multi disc is set up for right-handed people more so than lefties. But as all left-handed people will attest we live in a world that is right hand biased. All in all a fantastic purchase and has made my Trangia even easier to use away from home that it was already.

Great addition which packs away neatly in the Trangia lid. Fab for chopping or draining. Friend borrowed it to try and went home to buy one.

I have no idea why this lid/chopping board/strainer isn't part of the Trangia cookset when it comes from the factory as it's extremely useful, bordering on essential, particularly if you have to cook something like pasta that you're likely going to need to set aside for a while and almost certainly going to need to drain. I'm only removing a star because it's a pretty expensive for a bit of plastic.

Used it during my last expedition and just loved it. Very convenient, robust and can be used for many purposes, e.g. cutting board, cover for dust or insects, sieve, etc. I use it with the Trangia set and it fits well when you store it away. Worth every penny and I recommended it to my friends and family.

I've upgraded from the 27 to the 25 so needed the chopping board/strainer same as the 27 excellent quality it's trangia enough said .

Bought to complement a Trangia 25 kit. Probably a bit pricy for what is basically a polypropylene disk, but is actually incredibly helpful to have around when using a Trangia! You can't use it as a pot lid whilst cooking (but an aluminium lid that fits both 25 pans is available separately, why? It's called something like the Universal Pot Lid for 25 series, normally listed with the Tundra kit, but fits fine in the Trangia 25.set-up), but is handy as a cover once off the heat. The 'strainer' function is effective & invaluable, and it makes for a pretty robust chopping board as well, even if being a bit heavy handed with a Mora. A surprisingly efficient frisbee to boot. All in all a worthwhile addition if you already have a Trangia, or are thinking of getting one. Just ensure you order the correct size, as they are available for the 27 (smal) and the 25 (larger).

If you've owned an aluminium trangia and are moving on to non-stick then this is item is practically not optional, its made well and won't dent your wallet. Worth every penny just to protect your pans; do it I believe that you won't regret it. You can also chop and drain cooking using it.

Habe mir das große Brettchen bestellt um die beschichtete Pfanne meines Trangias beim Transport zu schützen. Zuerst wurde versehentlich das kleine Brettchen geliefert, was ich als Entschädigung kostenlos behalten durfte (wo gibt's denn sowas noch!?). Da es leichtes Plastik ist(weniger Packgewicht und -maß, da im Kocher verstaut), kann man sich eigentlich im vornherein denken, dass man es nicht als Trage für Verwundete verwenden kann, und dass es auf Hitze vorrübergehend mit einer leichten Steigerung der Flexibilität reagiert. In dieser Hinsicht kann ich vorige Rezensionen was das angeht nicht nachvollziehen. Das Brettchen eignet sich nicht nur als Schutz super, sondern lässt das Abgießen von z.B, Nudelwasser super einfach über die Bühne gehen (die Flexibilitätssteigerung ist minimal und bildet sich ohne bleibende Verformung wieder vollständig zurück beim Abkühlen!). Schneiden funktioniert ebenfalls einwandfrei...und NATÜRLICH sieht man nach einigem Gebrauch ein paar Schnittspuren im Plastik...eben genauso wie auf dem Plastik-Schneidebrett in der heimischen Küche. Wie man das bei diesem Brettchen bemängeln kann ist mir ein wahres Rätsel??? Es ist ein GEBRAUCHSGEGENSTAND und war sicherlich nicht als Ersatzschild für Captain America vorgesehen (der kauft wahrscheinlich auch nicht bei Amazon ein...) Fazit: Ich finde es TOP, v.a. in Kombination mit einer beschichteten Pfanne als "Deckel" des Sets um diese vor Abrieb durch das Metall des Kochergestells zu schützen, würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen und kann es UNEINGESCHRÄNKT EMPFEHLEN!
