Firebrick Fire Board Heat Proof Brick Vermiculite Fireboard 240 X 303 X 40MM

I grabbed this Firebrick Fire Board Heat Proof Brick because I am building myself an outdoor fire/cook box, I needed this for the base because I did not want to burn anything on the metal floor, this fits snug inside my fire box with about 5mm each side to spare, I probably could of done with another one but half the length to fit the entire base plate, but I'll grab later on. Tested it today, works really well, not breaks and explosions from the brick, holds the heat for a while also which is great. I would highly recommend this brink to anyone.

It's easy it was to work with, unlike heavier, dustier materials. Once installed, the board handles the high temperatures without issue. My oven reaches about 400C for pizza cooking, and this material manages it easily. You will notice that the heat retention is strong; the oven holds its temperature steadily between batches of food, which saves on fuel. If you are doing maintenance or building a small firebox, this board provides a simple, heat-resistant solution.
