Continental tires are the absolute best! Buy them and be glad you did!
Excellent! Made in Germany, the real deal. Bike shops will charge $$$ per tire, so the money saved by buying these on Amazon can go to the labor to install them! Continental is the absolute best. I asked the company how to tell when each tire was manufactured and they responded with pictures showing two possible types of date codes imprinted on the inside wall of each tire. That’s how I knew these tires were manufactured after the design change in 2023. I received tires manufactured in 2024, perfect! Example date codes are included for your information, so you can check your own tires before installing them. I had gone through stock tires on the trek domane SL5 that received puncture after puncture and required replacing the inner tube, then I went tubeless in 2020, but unfortunately the bike shop did not have continental tires available at the time. So of course they sold me stock tubeless. After again having several punctures, most of which sealed on their own, I finally had a situation during bike ms in 2023 where one of those stock tubeless tires was leaking air. After all of that, even the bike shop recommended continental tires and they assured me that they would have sold them to me had they been available back in 2020. What’s done is done and now I finally have the best tires on the bike! Perfect fit, 32-622 is exactly what has always been on the trek domane SL5. These tires look smooth right off the bat, you may think they are already worn, but no, they are manufactured to provide an excellent balance between resistance/friction and smooth riding. These tires are made to stand up against those annoying tiny pinpoint pieces of metal that just can’t be seen on the bridges and on the side of the roads. It’s easy to avoid things you can see, like glass and visible shards, but that’s not what causes the flats, it’s the things you can’t see that most often causes the headaches out there. Many riders swear by continental tires for a reason, they are longer lasting, they have thicker sidewalls with multiple layers of protection, which help avoid annoying flats because they are simply manufactured better than their competition. It’s really that simple. Go to a gas pump and look at the continental hoses at each pump. That’s right, same company. They know what they are doing. If they can make rubber hoses for gasoline pumps, they certainly can make rubber tires for bicycles and vehicles! They do it all! Buy these tires if they are an appropriate fit and just be glad that you finally have high quality, long lasting, flat resistant tires on your bike! No flats for the 100 miles on bike ms 2024, looking forward to several more years and several more events with similar performance! Thank you continental!

Good quality, durability, price is high but not as high as some.
High performance tires. I have used some of the higher tier tires that are touted as having lower rolling resistance, etc. They simply blew up withing a very short amount of time in my (relatively normal) conditions. Perhaps the worst were the Vittoria Corsas. Absolutely delaminated. Not my fault. The company would not stand behind their product. the shop that sold them to me would not either. Nope. Never again. These do not add much of a penalty and they last. I tend to wear these out rather than lose them through punctures or delamination, etc. So much so that these are the standard for my bikes and I know it is so for others as well.

Great tires
Great ride and will say that I have ridden on many brand of tires and I like Continentals the best. I am not sure if these will have the traction I got on the clincher version of these tires but I have done perhaps 100 miles in the rain with no issues and never felt the least bit of traction during hard turning or even damp roads. I do not ride where there would be very much of a chance of a puncture so cannot attest to that part. I have put more miles on the tires that came with the bike and did not have a puncture with them either. I believe that these are designed for better traction so there might be a bit more rolling resistance with these but since I ride for fitness and do some group rides I am not looking for the best racing tire and suppose that these would not fit the bill for someone who is a high level racier

Great tires
Excellent tires. I set these up tubeless on my road bike and they work awesome. They also hold air really well tubeless. I still need to periodically reinflate the tires but it takes a week of sitting for them to get low enough for it to be a real problem. I only have time to ride 1x a week so I bet if I rode more this would be less of a problem.

Fantastic Tires — Fast, Comfortable & Worth Every Mile!
I recently upgraded to the Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR 700x32 Black and I’m extremely impressed. These tires have completely transformed my road riding experience — smooth, fast, and confidence-inspiring in all conditions. 🚴♂️ Performance & Ride Quality Right out of the box, the GP 5000 S TR feel incredibly smooth on the road. The rolling resistance is very low, and you can feel the difference in speed and responsiveness compared to my old tires. Climbs feel more efficient, and on flats I maintain momentum with less effort. Even in rough pavement sections, they absorb vibrations well and keep the ride comfortable without anything feeling sluggish. 🌧️ Wet & Variable Conditions I’ve put these tires through some rainy rides and they handle impressively. The improved tread and compound give me confidence leaning into corners — even on slick surfaces. They track solidly and give positive feedback, which makes rainy rides feel less intimidating. 🔩 Tubeless Ready = Huge Bonus Setting them up tubeless was straightforward and reliable. I’ve been able to run slightly lower pressures for extra comfort without any burping or issues so far. Fewer flats and better traction — that’s exactly what tubeless promises, and the GP 5000 S TR delivers. I was getting one to two flats on every ride with tubes and now I don't worry. 📏 Note on Fitment: Runs a Bit Narrower One thing worth mentioning: although these are labeled 700x32, they seem to measure a bit narrower once mounted on my rims (measured around ~30mm). That’s not inherently a problem — just be aware when selecting tire size for clearance and handling expectations. 🏁 Final Verdict These tires are worth every penny. Fast, durable, comfortable, and confidence-inspiring in a variety of conditions. If you’re looking to upgrade your road bike with a tire that performs like a race-ready, all-around workhorse — the Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR 700x32 is a stellar choice. Highly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic, pro-level tires. Whether you want to race or you’re an amateur chasing some PRs, these tires are probably the fastest you can get. Paired with TPU tubes, my AVS instantly increased by 16% (previously I was using Bontrager R1+ with butyl tubes). No highly recommended!!!!

Best tires even for performance than road puncture protection.

I'm a reasonably serious cyclist, riding between eight and ten thousand kilometers a season, and one or other version of these are the only tires I use - when I can afford them, that is. They're not cheap but they're good value nonetheless. Like the others in the GP 5000 family, they are probably the best all-round racing and training tires you can get. They're supple, comfortable, fast, long-lasting, and surprisingly puncture-resistant. The grip on wet tarmac is good and the only time I've lost traction, other than in snow, was when riding up a steep slope of wet clay. Tubeless tires can be a bear to mount and I did have a very unhappy experience with an older version of this same tire that even bike shop pros were unable to mount so that it sealed properly. However, that was on one particular rim and this set was fairly easy to fit on a friend's carbon clinchers, although I did use a tire jack for the final step. I set them up with TPU tubes but I'm sure they would be good tubeless, as designed, although I haven't used them in that mode.
