Walimex Pro UV Filter Slim MC 67 mm (incl. protective cover)

The only reason I bought this item was to add a layer of protection to an expensive lens I own. I broke a 95mm filter on the said lens costing over a thousand pounds and I really didn't want to damage the lens in place of a much cheaper filter. The filter is well packaged in its own box, slim in profile as described and the optics (glass) appears to be ok. I'm sure more expensive filters claim to have better quality glass but to my eyes this one is more than acceptable.At the end of the day I'm sure picture quality comes down largely to the photographers ability, combined with the right equipment, and I don't think this item has harmed either of those factors for me. I will endeavour to attach a photo taken with the filter attached to a 200-500mm lens.

I bought this as protection for my 150-600 Sigma zoom.If the filter affects image quality then it is not noticeable to me (the lens is stunningly goid) and the end is now protected against sticky fingers, scratches, rain, mud etc. The filter itself is indeed slim, barely noticeable; the lens cap gets enough grip on its thread to fit securely.In other words it does the job well.

I bought this item to protect the lens on a high quality bird-watching telescope. The impact on image quality is nil and it is a very compact fit which still allows the built-in lens hood on the scope to slide forward.It was a little difficult to get the thread to fit correctly onto the scope which is why I have only given it four stars, but it does fit correctly after using a little patience to engage the threads properly.Overall a bargain and well worth buying.

Brilliant very good

This is a protective filter for my Pentax 35-105 lens, and as such, it does its job. Modern filters are very slim but should be able to take a lens hood I think.It's a good buy, for me anyway.

Good quality filter

Not a professional photographer , purely hobby - brought myself the Sony 200 - 600 mm lens so I wanted to protect the main lens , I can see no appreciable difference with it on or off and it is protecting my investment from sticky hands , sand , spray , scratches etc - so I'm happy with it
