These electric bug zappers are effective. powerful and very affordable since you get a set of two. Simple plug in to any mobile phone charger, connect the type C cable, charge for a couple of hours and they are ready. The lights in the front indicate they are being charged or are in use.There are two modes, standby and continuous. When the blue/purple light is on, the zapper is in continuous mode and is intended to be placed in the base holder, in an upright position. This is most effective at night because the mosquitos/bugs are attracted to the light and get zapped.Moving the on-off button to the bottom position puts the zapper in standby mode and it can be used to swipe at bugs provided the long grey activation button in front of the handle is kept depressed.I have two minor issues. Firstly, the base is made of very light and brittle plastic and can crack in the long run. Plus it makes an annoying squeaking sound on any smooth, highly polished surface. Secondly, the on-off button on the side is a bit flimsy and of poor quality. It does not click on or off firmly and one may have to jiggle the button to get the zapper working. However, with continuous use this tends to get a bit better.Is it reliable and long lasting? Only time will tell, but for now it's been doing what it is supposed to do.

I went on a vacation for a week got back to a house filled with fruit flies… I was terrified! This flies had taken over not only the kitchen but the living room bedroom and bathroom it was a nightmare . I couldn’t seat down in peace without those bugs flying into my face anyway you get the point lol , I know is my fault for leaving fruit out on the kitchen counter , I opened windows and doors cleaned everything. Put out plates & cups with vinegar soap It was not enoughCame to Amazon looking for something to helpAnd this product showed up , I read the reviews they were good so I purchased it two comes in a packI can’t say enough… It killed all of them . This thing was on day and night two different areas of the house . You can hear the flies getting snap , I didn’t care about the sound to be honest it was a relief . The thought of them finally gone brought peace to this house . I think took couple of weeks get rid of them all because we had an infestation but what a relief to not see one around the house . I still leave it plugged in 24/7 for those ocasional bugs that comes to visitIt’s very light weight , cheap material looks like a tenis racket around 21 x 9 but it works goodNot pretty to look at so I have it behind my plant and it still works because it has a purple light that attracts the bugsNote: the only bad thing is having to clean all the dead bugs

one of the bases won't charge anymore and one wand won't come on after charging all night. cheap, not worth it.

This works great. You can leave it on or swing it over weevils, moths, flies, mosquitos, etc. to instantly strike them dead. There are button settings to leave it on, off, or only operate manually. The only thing is the bits of insect parts may get stuck here and there and if it's a big insect, you can smell the burn of the carcass. Packs a punch and rarely needs to be recharged. I like the blue/purple LED lighting. It's also lightweight without feeling cheap.

Works grate for both flies and mosquitoes with it's light that attracts mosquitoes when in it's stand

We got this after our cheap battery operated zapper stopped working. I really love how it can be charged and chage lasts very long infact we only charged it once and have been using it for months. Only thing i will say is dont swing it too hard. My daughter swung it too hard and top portion broke off the handle. But good thing was it came as a set of two so we still have one.
