If you are a Frontpoint customer...save yourself a bundle of money and call in to get your installer code and buy these.While you don't get the kind get the kind of integration you would with a Zwave system or something like ABODE or SCOUT--if you go with the barebones system from Frontpoint and add in your own sensors you can alarm every window in your house for a lot less. By adding my own sensors, I literally ended up with a whole house system from Frontpoint for CHEAPER over 3 years than it would have been if I went with those other DIY systems. And I get the support and diligence that Frontpoint is known for.These work perfectly and get to you fast.

Works fine. The monitoring company was a little salty because I didn't buy it from them, but they programmed it anyway...

Installation is straightforward if you have the Simon XT manual (available online) and the installer code. These are cheaper, slimmer, and lighter than the older sensors (a good thing). They use CR2032 batteries - easier to find and cheaper than the 3.6v cells used in the older units.

I have used this model before and the sensors have worked. I have several working on my system. But lately, in the past couple of months, the replacement sensors have not worked. Can't recommend. I will install another system.

These are the old models which the manufacturer admits there are defects. 1 of my 4 units was constantly going into diagnosis mode and scrambling the other three. It turned a $95 installation into a 5 hour $240 mess. Lucky my installation company did not charge me the full labor time. He tried trouble shooting every part of my system and then contacted the manufacturer, and was informed of the potential problems. A great waste of time and money. Amazon did refund my $20 for the unit. Eating the other $150....sucks
