Bright and free from flicker
I bought this pack of two to replace a 150 watt traditional tungsten light bulb - one to use and one as a spare. The brightness and colour of the light compare very well but the new LED lights run much cooler and use only 17 watts. They can't be dimmed but on a regular light switch they are bright and free from flicker.

NOT 17 Watts! ONLY 14.8 Watts!
I bought these lights for my Auntie who at 91 is struggling to see to read so she asked me if I could find a brighter bulb then her existing Philips 13w bulb so looking at the reviews I decided these 17 watt bulbs because they are 30 percent brighter than her existing one, but on fitting it there was no difference, so I got my tester and her old bulb was indeed 13.2 watts, but these NEW 17 watt bulbs are only testing at 14.4 watts which is fifteen percent LESS than advertised! its really annoying so Im sending them back.
