Fuses do meet British standards.
As these are now the most popular fuses on Amazon, I have tested them, to check that they are safe and meet BS1362. (The British Standard for fuses). First test is length. They should be 25.4mm long, +0.8/-0.4mm. As you can see from Photo 3, at 25.37mm, they are well within spec. A good start. Next we will check that the ends are 'substantially flat'. As you can see in Photo 1, the 13a on the right is well within spec, the 3a and 5a however, have a larger dimple. I don't know why the Chinese make them like this, but, personally, I think this passes. But only just. Now for an internal look. As can be seen in Photo 2, they are all correctly filled with a containment substrate. In this case I think it's quartz sand. A good choice. All of the wires are the correct size and all are soldered to the end caps. In many non compliant fuses, the wires will just be bent over and the caps pushed on. I only tested the 5a fuse with an overload current. In this case 50amps. I'm pleased to report that all that happened was the wire failed. There was no rupture or cracking of the fuse. (Some fake fuses will explode when severely overloaded). I also tested the 5amp fuse in a 3000w electric kettle. As the current climbed, at around 11amps, the fuse failed. Which is what I would expect. In conclusion, I feel that these fuses do meet BS1362 and are safe for their intended use. I hope you found this review helpful.

Value for money.
Always handy to have spare cartridge fuses about the house. Haven't used any of these as yet so cannot vouch for their performance but they were value for money. People forget that most domestic appliances only have 3A or 5A fuse protection and only keep 13A as spare so the different fuse values provided was just what I was looking for.

Brilliant pack to have in the house
These work great. Arrived nice and quickly. I almost blew up the kitchen when I first tried to replace the dishwasher fuse as I'm just abit clueless like that but was determined to try again because I didn't want to believe that my time was up with my beloved dishwasher! (I have a husband and 4 kids lol) I basically changed the fuse in the plug head and plugged it straight back into the socket whilst the adjoining washing machine socket was still on! Needless to say, I blew the washing machine fuse as well. There was a huge BANG! Scared the life out of me. I then turned both of the switches off and changed both the dishwasher and the washing machine fuse again and thank God they both worked. So don't be dumb like me. Make sure you switch everthing off before changing a fuse and not just the socket you're using.
