I recently bought my first SHIELD GUARD tarp for use as a front panel tarp on a 10 x 12 ft storage shed and I was pleasantly surprised at the overall quality for the price. I use a lot of tarps and know well that inexpensive tarps do not make it past a year in challenging upper windy wet and snowy Midwest weather. We will see how this one fares through the coming winter, but I knew as soon as it arrived and I looked it over that it is a much better quality12 mil tarp than most you will buy at the big box stores selling tarps. Both the quality of the heavy tarp material, as well as the heavier grade aluminum grommets, well made rope reinforced edge hem and heavy duty corners is all at a higher quality level for the price when compared to other heavy duty tarps I have bought for a similar price or even more.

Used this under my pool for two years so far. No tears or grommets coming loose. A small rip from a very determined dog but regular wear and tear no problem.

Tarp itself is heavy duty but the grommets are weak and gave way in the first sign of wind. If you are just using this to cover something on the ground with no wind I'm sure it's fine. But this tarp is not made to withstand weather or wind

12 x 12 tarp, I purchased to cover my 10 x 10 metal frame, people setting off FIRE WORKS burned my first, original CANOPY, it cost too much to replace the canopy. It cost more than buying another 10 x 10 metal frame Canopy, shade in the backyard from harmful SUN RAYS. I am not buying another Canopy Set, I will make due, why replace the Canopy & have CARELESS people setting off FIRE WORKS burn it. This Tarp has survived FIRE WORKS & I can leave it up all year (sun/rain/snow/ice). The metal frame is sturdy & the tarp serves the purpose, the 10 - 10 tarp did not cover or fit well over the metal frame. The Fire Works that landed in my backyard also burned my PATIO set, UMBRELLA, matching table cover & matching cushions. I need to figure out how to cut up the tarp to replace the umbrella cover that was burned. I like to recycle, reuse & MAKE DO. This tarp is DURABLE, it has survived.

Great product and worked well for the job we needed it for. I'd buy it again.
