I have been acquainted with Bienfang and Speedball for over forty years. They are names that I associate with the highest quality, and this tracing paper is no exception. The paper is smooth and has a consistent translucency. I picked up both the white and the canary yellow. The white is great against dark colors, and the canary yellow is terrific both for contrast against white and when your eyes just need something less bright to look at.These have so many uses, and oh, how I wish I'd had these when I was working in preshool. Yes, it's great for professionals, but also students, crafters, and teachers. Just a few uses:* Gift wrapping: Wrap over a patterned wrap for a subtle look.* Patterns for bulletin boards, sewing, scrapbooking, cardmaking, etc.* Making paper snowflakes and flowers* Planning journaling pages* Tracing practice for calligraphy, handwritingI am very happy to have these, and they are one thing that definitely will not be going to waste! These are surprisingly large rolls for tracing projects. I got these for my college student studying architecture. They hold up well without tearing or ripping. The price is definitely cheaper than buying the supplies in the college book store. These two rolls should last her at least a couple of years of class projects.

The colour on this isn't so much Canary Yellow as a sort of aged parchment yellow, which is exactly what I needed.We use it both to trace map elements to combine into a game map, and also to create document props for the players to view, especially scrolls and scraps of found paper that have to appear aged. The paper holds up to a little careful 'distressing' very well, and also holds up to handling, folding and refolding, and rolling into a scroll. It takes pens of all types well, without significant bleeding.

I do a lot of sketches for work, I find it's faster to get ideas out than the digital process in most cases.This paper was great, I like that I can just roll and unroll as I'm working. For the price, there is so much to work with! It works great on my light table. Pencil lines don't smear too badly, which is a big deal for me being left-handed.Overall I am very pleased with this product.

Bienfang produce top quality tracing paper. I have been using this brand since architecture school and still use it today. I prefer the canary color over the clear/white since canary provides a modicum of tonality to sketches. Coloring has a nice contrast as such. This product, and particularly this brand, belongs in any artists/designers/fashion/textile/graphic (you name it) desk. The 3 essential tools you need as a designer are a sharpie, some tracing paper, and your ears. This fulfills the tracing paper requirement. Do yourself a big favor and get some.
