Phenomenal device
Works perfectly with my Astell&Kern Kann Cube. The device incredibly can rip MQA encoded CD to my Cube that will decode and play it. Decoding MQA CD's usually requires software, hardware etc and is usually a trial by error thing. The combination of the Ripper II with the Kann Cube makes this as easy as pushing a button. The device is beautifully made, very high quality and reminds me of the Monolith in "2001 Space Odyssey"

ALMOST Perfect
The ripper works flawlessly with my SP3000. HOWEVER, the initial setup took a bit of guess work despite the instructions. And I don’t understand this trend with high end electronic companies to not provide a charger; good thing I already have that covered. The biggest issue I have is with the USB cords, which WILL disconnect easily at the slightest movement. This will cause you to have to re-rip a CD from the beginning if you’re not careful. I recommend to get some quality aftermarket USB cables that will better hold in place. I’ll take the slower ripping speed if it means cutting out the “middleman” laptop. Enjoy👍🏽

BAD, NOT GOOD, POS
First unit would not engage when powered up. I decided to insert a CD to see what it would do. It ran for 10sec then died. Mind you, I'm using a 5v / 2.3a and a 5v / 3a adapter. I thought that maybe this was a bad unit and re-ordered a 2nd unit. Same EXACT thing happened. In addition, had to use the internet to read the minimal information. Also, implemented YouTube. You know, at $400.00 per/unit, the specfic adapter should be included. Don't waste your money, get your refund, I did!! " Got my mind on my money and my money on my mind". "

Easy to use once set up
Compact and easy to use. Took me a while to figure out how to set player to work with ripper Also no instructions on player how to get downloads to SD card instead of internal memory but got help from A & K customer service. Very satisfied

A&K CD Ripper - manage expectations before you buy...
First, I like the product. It works well. The ripper does NOT play CDs, only rips to media. That is fine for me but a valuable detail to know before you purchase. It takes awhile to rip CDs, even in fastest sampling mode. Also, I bought this Ripper used in "near new" condition, but the micro usd power in plug in the ripper appears to have seen significant (or rough) use, as a result power connection is a bit wobbly when using either the A&K power cable or others I tried. Works fine, just have to ensure the power cable is not jiggled around during the ripping process.

A & K Ripper MKII DOA
Ripper was a little hard to set up as the manual is small and very hard to read (partially due to my age, I guess). When I finally got the unit set up, I inserted a CD. The unit ran for about 5 seconds and just died. Tried several other CDs and different 5V power adapters with same result. Wide World Stereo seems very accommodating and am presently waiting instructions from them on returning the unit for a replacement.

It is a CD ripper not a player
Very easy to use and interfaces easily with the AK SR-25. Don't expect to complete a CD quickly. Took about 45-50 minutes per CD. Would really love to see some indication that the ripping operation is complete. Other than that small inconvienence, it is very nice.

A beautifully designed and solidly built unit
Bought and returned mine unused. I should have researched this product more thoroughly before buying because not only does it only rip in WAV or FLAC formats (I prefer AIFF), but it cannot rip SACD discs, it is not compatible with my A&K PEM11 charging dock, and it does not come with a necessary power adapter. A beautifully designed and solidly built unit, it has too many functional limitations to justify the price, for my needs and purposes anyway.
