KCL
If you use a pH pen, you need storage solution like KCL.

Nice little bottle with flip-out spout cap
This is a nice 2oz (60ml) bottle of 3.0M KCL solution. The pour-spout cap allows you to easily fill the pH probe cap for meter storage.I have been using 3.0 M KCL solution to keep my pH meter probes in great working order and I have to calibrate the pH probs less often because they retain calibration with much less drift. I store the meters with their pH glass bulbs submersed in KCL solution in the probe caps and keep the meters stored in the vertical position.Recommended for the pour-spout cap that makes pouring KCL solution a breeze.

Not much to like here - small amount, high cost, and the bottle cap leaks
I have an Apera PH60 hand-held pH meter. I’m very pleased with its performance and operation. The manual recommends storing the sensor in a solution of 3.0M potassium chloride – so I ordered this bottle from Aconabolics. I need about 10mL to store my meter so the 60mL supplied in this bottle should last me a while. However, $12 for 13g of potassium chloride dissolved in 60mL of water seems to be a bit expensive – especially as it appears that I can buy 1000g of the salt for just $20 on Amazon. The main issue I had with this product and the reason that I’m not giving it a better rating is that the solution was able to leak out of the bottle. The bottle had a dispensing cap that was meant to be self-sealing but, evidently, it didn’t. Upon receipt, the outside neck of the bottle was encrusted with white crystals (see photo). The Amazon shipping bag also had crystal deposits on its inside walls. The bottle was not packed in anything else to seal it better but was just shipped loose in the Amazon shipping bag. I’m glad that there wasn’t anything else being shipped in this bag or that would have probably got encrusted, too. Potassium chloride is fairly harmless, but it will corrode some metals when in solution.

Ripoff... not 3M
3.0M is a ripoff of 3M, a major chemical manufacturer. This is NOT a 3M product.
