Great reference book, loads and loads of pictures for the use of comparison your collection if you have no idea what it is. Brief description for each item. Ideal for collectors of Corgi cars etc that don't want mega amounts to read and like a visual reference.

Dr.Eward Force was -bij leven en welzijn- een leraar Duits in Arizona. Zijn fascinatie voor speelgoedauto's nam epische proporties aan. Het aantal gepubliceerde boekjes over Corgi, Dinky en andere producenten spreken boekdelen. Ze zijn allemaal nogal kort van stof in het tekstuele gedeelde en dat is de eerste tegenvaller. Van iemand die uitpakt met zijn academische graad (dokter!) verwacht je iets meer diepgang. Tweede tegenvaller; de foto's. Het lijken wel 'mugshots' gemaakt door zijn neefje, die gedurende een uurtje of twee, de schappen van zijn talrijke vitrinekasten mocht kieken. Alle autootjes zijn gefotografeerd in profiel en dus weinig aantrekkelijk. Rest nog het beschrijvende gedeelte en de prijsindicaties. Je valt geen buil met de vraagprijs voor deze boekjes, maar echt beklijvende en/of aantrekkelijke uitgaven zijn het niet. Routineuze 'would be' catalogi, dus!
