ACORN Wooden Workbench With Double Shelf - Handmade Heavy Duty Work Table - Made From Construction Grade Timber (6ft)

Arrived as planned and helped unload by the friendly driver. This is an indoor bench so I treated all of it with boiled linseed oil - 3 coats. Easy but heavy to assemble. Use a power driver to get the screws tight. You might find you have 8 screws left... You’ll find they are for fixing the under-side of the top to the legs. Once done, you will have a very heavy sturdy work bench. I intend to fit a wood vice to the front so I might need to cut a bit out of the front top runner. This might require extra Sunk screws through The top to the runner. I’ll sort that later. 10/10 for a bench that should last a life time.

Very easy to assemble, good quality and sturdy. This was bought as a stand for an aquarium so needed to be strong and durable. I did add 2 further legs just to be safe and have used black creosote to give a good protection against any leaks. This is for my outside office so more than happy with its robust appearance. Suspect I will be buying another for my really big aquarium. The delivery driver was also extremely polite, prompt and respectful. First class all around.

Product arrived 7 days within 5 week lead time ( Covid causing hell) All parts labelled and delivered - good service by Van driver ! Assembled in 50 minutes ...good clear instruction supplied - have also now found video showing build on UTube . It’s a Heavy Duty practical wood work bench ...going to add a vice and perhaps a drill stand at some stage . I had the two shelves option to give and add extra storage space in my garage . I may sand the top of the Bench and then add some teak oil or another finish that will help me keep it clean ...but I will google that .......On the whole very pleased . ..buy it

i got the 8ft version, and i would suggest you have two people to assemble as it was so heavy i had trouble on my own, however this is to its benefit, the bench is very solid and well made, if i was to have one criticism, there are one or two places where nails have been used where screws would have done a much better job and you would have needed less, overall, im super happy, always wanted a workbench and happy with my choice!

Using my trusty cordless drill with a screwdriver bit, this workbench went together in less than 30 mins. All the holes are pre-drilled and the supplied instruction sheet was perfect. The finished item is REALLY SOLID the quality of the timbers are excellent and once in position the workbench stays put. I've bolted a vice on mine and even with some quite heavy duty usage the bench stays perfectly still! In my opinion this workbench is Perfect!

First, I ordered this workbench on July 15th; it arrived July 28th. I assume that with the hot weather, the tortoise carrying it required frequent stops. Second, if you advertise in imperial measures it's handy to work to those dimensions. My 5ft workbench arrived 4ft 11 ins wide, a tad short of the 5ft "hole" I'd prepared for it. Third, the shelves are about 5/8 inch narrower than the gap they fit into. For the rear braces to fit flush and most securely the shelves shoul be screwed as far to the rear as they can go, not centrally as suggested in the emailed instructions. Ideally I'd have preferred a more snug fit. Finally, but not least, the timbers of the worktop have two convex corners, so the worktop is tramlined, good for collecting dust etc. I would have preferred some flush fitted T&G. Also, said worktop timbers have a slight warp across their width, so no flat surface; a straight edge 'rocks' and not musically. I'll need to plane it and fit some mdf on top to get a decent flat surface. All that said, it's solid and will outlast me. It's got 4 stars, I'd rate it 3.5 if I could

This product is really robust. Constructed in planed and rounded 3x2s it is very sturdy. Goes together in 10 minutes. Great value too. I’ve always made my own previously but at this price there really is no point.

This product is so well made, it has all the edges rounded off and is smooth to touch. The holes are all pre-drilled , so even a novice like me can put it together. It was a little heavy to lift once the legs were on & I did need help, but I am so impressed with this product and also the company. I liked that it was delivered without any packaging to dispose off, and was carried round to my back garden by the courier driver, would highly recommend.
