Danze D481316BN Ceiling Mount Showerarm with Flange, 6-Inch, Brushed Nickel

This is a well-built product and looks great in the brushed nickel finish, but note that these extensions use IPS (straight pipe) threads not NPT. If you're connecting these to SHARKBITE branded 1/2" push-to-connect female water fittings in your shower's plumbing, then you MUST order an adapter to get this pipe to seal properly (just search Amazon for "3 Pack NPT 1/2"Male x G1/2" Female Brass Pipe Fitting Reducer Thread Adapter"). Since the other end is also NPT threaded, it will work just fine connecting to DELTA branded showerheads and accessories without any additional adapters but may not connect properly to non-DELTA branded products. Hope that's helpful to someone!

This is a simple 6" straight section of pipe with a nice brushed-nickel finish and a matching flange. I needed to plumb an overhead shower fixture through the ceiling, and this did the trick perfectly. Just beware of the force you use to screw it into place, as the walls of the pipe are a bit thin. I was a bit too aggressive with the first unit I purchased and collapsed the pipe with the set of pliers; consequently, I couldn't slip the flange over it and had to buy another one. This was my fault, but hopefully my mistake will serve as a caution to others.

This is a quality product with a very nice brushed nickel finish. It has a good quality cover for the rough cut out and secures nicely to the arm with a small, discrete Allen head screw. I highly recommend this product.

Works very well and a LOT cheaper than some of the name brands - especially when you get into the longer models. I used this for installing my new rainfall shower head after remodel, and it looks great. Clean brushed nickel finish matches the rest of my hardware. No leaks or issues!

Concerns before buying: _after reading some reviews: compatibility of threads with the 90 degrees brass drop ear elbow in the ceiling (supply) and also with the rain shower head we used KiaRog® 12 Inch (12'') Rain Brushed Shower Head. 12-Inch Side,1/16'' Ultra Thin Showerheads.30 CM * 30 CM Stainless Steel Shower but no pb with fit _price of this little kit: this one is one of the most reasonable, still expensive for what it is. True across all such items on amazon, (some charges a ridiculous amount). Installation remarks: _obviously be careful not marring the finish when tightening it. Hand tight not enough, pliers needed. You'd expect the pipe end that threads into the supply to have some kind of welded nut or flat parts to tighten that pipe w/o marring, that would be hidden by the flange after final installation, or make the flange cover more of the pipe end to hide the scratches etc. For this, I give it only 4, it's minor and nobody's going to look up there but it is what I'd expect.

Nice heavy and sturdy. Solid flange with lock nut. Had no worries about suspending a 16" shower head from it.

It's a solid product...as described; however the finish is a brushed steel with a slight nickel hue, not a true brushed nickel...
