JINHAO 100 Fountain Pen with Ink Converter (Medium Nib 0.7mm, Fantastic Green)

Wow, a truly beautiful pen! I had never owned a fountain pen before and this pen has converted me to a full fledged love affair with them. It writes beautifully and so smooth, it is SO easy to fill, and the feeling of it in your hand is spectacular. It's so comfortable to hold, genuinely. Getting the right angle is a very slight learning curve, but as an artist who loves to illustrate scenery in ink... this pen is one of the nicest I've ever used.

I was contemplating a purchase of the full priced Laban Lilac pen but I decided to take a chance and get the Jinhao look alike instead. I was so pleasantly surprised. I can’t compare it to the “original” but it writes smoothly and it’s a beautiful pen. It is perfect for my needs. I ended up buying a second Jinhao 100 in rhe “Snow White” color. I’m loving the medium nibs, very juicy and no scratchiness. Just make sure to rinse the pen before filling. For the price, it’s an amazing pen!

I love fountain pens. I'm not a collector, but I have five or six different fountain pens, each with different ink colors; most are budget friendly. I decided to add this to my collection based on the positive reviews, and I am glad I did. The pen writes smoothly and the ink flows nicely - not too wet, not too dry/skipping. The included ink converter holds a decent amount of ink - you can write at least a dozen pages before needing to refill the ink. I have a couple of Jinhao 82 pens and this pen writes much more smoothly than either of them (although all 3 have a medium nib, the ink doesn't flow as well in the 82s as it does with this pen. Really, I have no complaints with this pen, especially at the price point. The pen itself is very pretty and has a bit of iridescence in the light.

This is the smoothest wettest most satisfying fountain pen I’ve used! Plus it’s amazing looking and feeling in the hand, very sturdy. You barely have to press on the paper.Edit: I bought another one and it was unsatisfying til I broke it in for a few weeks and now it’s as juicy as my other one. I wouldn’t still call this ‘the most’ smooth wet satisfying pen I have anymore since I’ve collected quite a few since I wrote that, but it’s still excellent. The 2nd one was writing more like a fine nib which I didn’t like, til I softened it up with lots of use and now it’s really good.Both medium nibs; first one I use with Pelikan Brilliant Black and 2nd one with Diamine Damson (deep purple).

At least, not where this model pen is concerned. There are quite knowledgeable fountain pen enthusiasts who have had positive experience with the Jinhao 100 and love it, people whose opinion I trust. So, I'm glad I went ahead and ordered this one. Easy to fill, a smooth writer (Medium nib), and the Gold Stone color is gorgeous. I plan to order at least one other in a different color. You don't have to have collected fountain pens for decades or be prepared to break the bank in order to have an elegant pen that writes well and makes you smile.

I really wanted to love this pen, she is so beautiful and feels so nice in your hands. I wish I would have used it when I first got it because I could have returned it.The nib is scratchy but the biggest issue was with the ink flow or lack of flow of ink into the nib unit. I thought it was the ink Diamine Hope Pink I changed the ink to Diamine Imperial Purple, and then Diamine Delamere Green. Had the same issue with all three inks.If you purchase this pen, use it before the return date.

Beautiful pen but heavier than I was expecting. If you post it - it becomes a little unbalanced and heavier at the end. Good quality pen though and the ink I have writes well with it.
