I live on a private community lake. Unfortunately not every here wants to protect the environment like I do. I walk my dog every day and was continuing upset with the trash floating in the lake and on the shores. So I ordered this Trash Pickup tool. I was not expecting much from it, but I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box. The quality is excellent. It has a nice weight to it, but not too heavy as to make it cumbersome. It does come with a cap for the pointy end, which is nice. The design is good. The price point is excellent for what you get. It's easy to carry around and use. Now, when I walk around the lake I bring this trash pickup tool and a bag. I pick up trash as I find it along my route. It's nice to have something long enough to reach into spaces I can't get into. I also carry a another trash grabber that has a claw to clamp down. The combination of the two works really well. I also feel a bit safer. I have my dog, this long pokey get away from me stick, and my wits to keep us safe. I have poked this in the water several times to grab floating trash. It has not rusted.

Does the work and is well constructed and firm. I will suggest to keep out of the reach of kids since and keep its point covered, which comes with a tip protector. The grip at the handle feels comfortable, and the claw has decent precision for grabbing smaller items. Functionality: it struggles a bit with heavier or oddly shaped objects. I also found that the claw can lose a bit of grip after repeated use, especially if you're picking up damp or slick items. It's not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you're using it for large-scale cleanups. This tool is very stout, sturdy, and can withstand heavy duty puncturing of metal objects (cans, etc.). I'm completely amazed at the quality of this tool, and I promise you it will not let you down.

Works as described able to pick up trash with out bending over. Very light weight, yet well made and should be durable. It's easy to use and was a reasonable price.

I have no trees in my yard, but my neighbors trees surround me. I can’t stand having leaves in my yard! With that said I was constantly walking through the front, side, and back yard bending over, stooping down picking up leaves by hand. Definitely got old after a few weeks. The item is super durable and gets the job done. Assembly is very straightforward and easy. I will caution you on the tip, it is very sharp so be careful! As far as stabbing and picking up leaves it worked flawlessly! I was able to gather about 20+ leaves at one time. Will advise the bigger the leaf the easier it is to stab. However, if you miss the small ones it does a great job aerating your yard. I would definitely recommend this sturdy, stellar product!

Sharp, lightweight, as described. This thing will last forever as long as it's used with a spearing motion and NOT used as a bat with any sort of swinging motion. Eventually, you may need to regrind the tip, not sure yet. Would theoritically work as a 'tool' in a zombie-apocalype, especially with the longer version allowing you to keep a better distance from undead threats. Obviously this is designed for collecting trash and that's exactly what I'm using it for. We get a lot of trash that blows into our yard and this has definitely save my back from having to bend over repeatedly to clean up the property. Pierces through aluminum cans with great ease and satisfaction.
