Never less than five stars for Lego
My grandchildren were reaching the stage where they wanted to use their imagination to build things rather than relying on sets with instructions. This board meant that we had two so they could each build independently. Lego is just the best of its type in construction toys.

The One and Only
LEGO has become part of modern life and the fact is that whilst there are pretenders around nobody has come close to taking their crown as King of Bricks. And of course that innovation and quality has to be paid for and thus my wallet is a tad lighter. I bought my two grandchildren - twins - large general purpose box of bricks as they are nearly six and suddenly discovered creativity. To see it was almost like a light switch turning on. One day they were just small children crashing cars and the next day colouring and drawing and making things. Love it. So, my better 3/4 decided that LEGO was the next step and thus the massive box was bought. And naturally being LEGO they won't give you everything you need so I had to shell out for some base plates. And base plates as I recall from my youth were precious and essential items upon which your creation relied upon to a huge degree. So here we have two expensive-for-what-they-are base plates. Superbly designed and manufacturers and being the 2020's not the 1970's not made from toxic materials. It is part of the growning up and learning experience playing with LEGO and despite the price, the truth is that it's worth it.

Cool Blue Baseplate
Perfect base plate to use with Classic Lego pieces, it should be noted that this is not compatible with Duplo as those bricks are different sizes. Large size 25cm x 25cm which allows for plenty of fun play! Nice bright blue colour that can be used for creating water scenes such as ships at sea or swimming pools. My son loves playing with his Lego and wanted this Blue baseplate as a change from his Green one. It's good value for money, the base itself is not that thick compared to the smaller Lego bases but still feels sturdy and the slightly flexible material means it shouldn't break too easily either. Good buy overall to keep your little Lego enthusiasts busy especially during lockdown when we are all indoors!

Lego base
This is a classic Lego base and although it fits all other standard block I find it really only works with the smaller Lego block pieces as it still feels slightly flimsy. Easy to carry around and build on and blue = water so more fun.

Every builder needs a base plate!
What's to say, if you free build Lego projects (especially buildings and scenes) you're going to want some baseplates right? And if you build with Lego, you want the genuine original Lego baseplate, the nice thickness and a good tight fit with bricks. These are a bit dear for what they are really, but t'was ever so with Lego base plates. They were relatively expensive when I was a kid, and that was a long time ago.... If you need one, you'll buy one. Okay three, this is my third this year. And I'll be back, damn it.

Good quality, would purchase again!
Bought for my little brother who uses it almost everyday as he is a huge lego fan! Very sturdy and good value for money, he is very happy with this and uses it to make his youtube videos so no complaints at all!

A bit small but hours of play in front !
I always find this a bit small for the price paid, and they can break but overall lego brand never disappoint, good quality, hours of play!
