I’m not sure what’s inside the shell, but the shell is plastic which - as I understand it - automatically requires the warning under CA law. I have seen this label on more stuff, and to be honest, I don’t give it a second thought. I use them, and so does my 4 year old granddaughter. She stole my first set...
