A great GPS unit with just a few issues,
We used a Garmin GPS for many years and it finally quit so I've been shopping around for a replacement. I came across this one, the reviews were mostly positive, and the price was about half of what Garmin would cost, so I gave it a try. I was a little concerned because of the low price but I'm quite pleased with the unit. It works well but there are a few minor issues that could be better. More about that in a moment. The GPS mounts to the windshield with a suction cup holder that seems to hold it very well. It is adjustable, both up and down and sideways so you can adjust it for the best view. There is a sun shield that can be attached and helps keep the glare off of the screen. The screen is quite large and easy to see.The screen is bright and clear and the brightness is adjustable. There are a variety of voices and languages available, and the voices are easily understood. There are many choices for navigation, what type of route you want, adjustable for cars or trucks. There are also many choices for what you want displayed on the navigation screen, such as nearby restaurants, gas stations, airports, etc. The display shows you the speed limit wherever you are and lights up red if you are over. (There is also a verbal speed limit warning but I shut that off as it became annoying) The GPS seems to be very accurate in showing where you are. The touch screen is very responsive and easy to use.The device is packed with extra features and almost functions like a tablet. It will play music and videos and display photos. (There's a slot for a mini-SD card, not included.) There are games, (I haven't played them yet) a calculator, and a unit converter. The device can also be set to play through the car's sound system. Now for just a few minor things that could be better:The instruction booklet is rather limited. The unit is quite easy to use, so this is a minor problem, but there are some things you just have to figure out for yourself. The sun shade attaches to the unit with four flimsy plastic arms, (see photo) that clip loosely into the back of the shade and clamp it to the GPS unit. The shade is rather loose and while it stays in place most of the time it tends to slide around and fall off if you adjust the angle of the GPS or pick it up.There are four small slots on the back of the GPS that fit onto four slots on the window mount. (See photo) It can be a bit tricky to line them up to mount the GPS.The GPS does not show the estimated time of arrival at your destination. The old Garmin did and it's a feature that I miss.Setting the time and date involves scrolling through endless time zones. Since the GPS knows exactly where it is it would seem like this should be unnecessary.Hidden deep in the instruction booklet is a warning to unplug the GPS before starting the car to avoid a power surge that could damage the unit. It can be easy to forget this and it was never needed with the old Garmin. (I have forgotten and started the car with the GPS plugged in and it didn't seem to do any harm but I do try to unplug it when starting the engine. The device is supposed to include free updates but there is nothing in the instructions about how to do this. Attaching it to a computer doesn't work. I've messaged the seller about this and have not yet heard back from them but I just messaged them today. The device, overall, is quite accurate about showing the speed limits but there is an area in our town that runs for several blocks where the speed limit was dropped from 35 to 25 a year or two ago. The GPS still shows 35 as the speed limit in that area. Mostly, though, it seems to show the speed limit accurately.Having said all of that I really do like this GPS. I'm actually quite impressed considering the price. You could spend a lot more for a big-name unit that would probably not have as many features. Basically, the unit is easy to use, does everything you would expect it to do, and does them well. I have only had it for a week so I can't address how well it will hold up in the long run but if problems arise I will update this review. For now, I like it a lot.

This GPs is amazing
This GPS unit is a great performer for the price point. My husband uses it in his truck almost every day and hasn't had any issues yet. The only complaint he had was that he didn't like that it consistently told him he was over the speed limit when he was 2-3 miles over. He figured out how to turn the voice off. It could use an update on the speed limits and new businesses.

Not satisfied; Returned
When connected to the USB port, could not maintain connectivity. Had to use cigarette lighter.Did not have the Interstate by-pass of a fairly large city in its maps at all; kept trying to get us back onto a road.Had a hard time setting the time; never did find the “clock” icon, but did find where to set the # of hours differing from Greenwich time. Fortunately, the time was off by even hours since it seems that minutes could only by changed in blocks of 15.Back got VERY hot, too hot to hold my hand over where the battery apparently was.The manner of attachment of the gps to the mounting device was not very secure.Windshield mounting device itself was hard to get stable – needed to be tightened VERY tight, or it would give way, dumping the gps off.Returned.

Impressed!!
Truck Driver here. I am very impressed by this product. It's simple, easy to use, and does the job perfectly.just remember to set up this device with your vehicle's dimensions and weight. it does the job period!!!. Do not waste your money finding something else. I used it in AZ and Cali and all good. It finds the places fast and accurately. I would recommend this to anyone, if you are a truck driver remember you still need your phone to view the maps.
