Great value for money and a well made flute, as a complete novice with no previous experience, i watched some videos to get started and found i could make reasonably progress and started to produce some quite good sounds fairly quickly. In less than a week i have managed to play a complete scale from the lowest note upwards. far from perfect, but apparently the lowest note is oneof the more difficult to play for a beginner. I'm enjoying the experience and looking forward to making a lot more music with this instrument.

Amazing flute at an amazing price. I’ve played flute for over 50 years and have a collection of boehm concert flutes like this one and also wooden irish style flutes and whistles. I bought this as I did not have an open hole concert flute. Due to a temporary hand condition limiting my right hand stretching I wasn’t able to play my irish wooden flutes and you can’t get the same expression from a closed hole keyed boehm flute. I didn’t expect too much for this kind of money but I was impressed by the tone and playability of this instrument. The main difference these days between an expensive and a budget boehm flute is the strength of the metal used in the rods and springs. A budget instrument will go out of alignment quicker if played a lot everyday. However as a student instrument and casual use this is a real bargain. I’ll post a video when I get the time.

Good starting kit.

You really do get amazing value for money with this flute - in appearance you wouldn't know it only cost £66, it's ready to play straight out of the case, has a beautiful tone, and the keys are the right amount of springy. It's been a very long time since I've played so all my problems (slight airiness) is most likely user error and sloppy technique, and not the instrument itself. Absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to give it a try but aren't sure they're ready to commit to the expense of a better known/more professional brand. Edit: It is worth noting that at 12 days, with a minimum on 1 hour practice daily, the coating on the lip plate has become significantly tarnished, and two keys are also beginning to darken in the same way. I have yet to get a jewellery cloth to see if it can be reversed, or if it's a more permanent issue with a coating rubbing off. It is however still in tune and holding up nicely in every other way.

For the price I was very pleasantly surprised with this flute. I'm a novice so don't know if it's good compared to other flutes in terms of musicality, but a friend who's a music teacher has played it and said it's a nice instrument. Comes in a lovely case with the extras, really well packaged and really feels like I've treatmd myself to a quality instrument for a very reasonable price. Now I just have to practice practice practice! To any adult buying one of these, I'd say invest in at least a couple of lessons - I'd watched all the youtube videos etc and could hardly geta note out of it, but after just half an hour with an experienced teacher I could consistently get a clear note, knew how to put flute together safely and play a few notes so was up and running. Well worth the investment.

I am a complete beginner on flute and tenor sax this year, thanks to prime day I got the Eastar EFL-2 silver plated flute for £58! There are saxophone ligatures that cost more than this. Unbelievable. Right, in the box there is everything you need to get going including a slightly confusing fingering chart. I recommend getting the flue app called fingercharts, much better. I have been impressed with the overall quality of the product even though mine had a small area of black tarnish on the body. The key and pads seem good to me. The key feature to note is the screwdriver.......i was struggling to get a clean low G and anything out of the low F. The reason was the G sharp key required half a turn on the adjustment screw to seat properly. Much better results. Overall happy with the flute. Thanks.

One of the key doesn’t close fully causing error in sound while practicing

Wanted a cheap workmanlike flute for practice. It fits the bill, but one of the keys (activated by f sharp) not sealing properly. Will have to paper shim it, but it is still playable. Lower register rich and full, mid nice, but top octave none too clear at the moment. Still, I rarely get up there! Overall for an inexpensive instrument it is good value - just have a teacher check it over before using… for once it might not be the student’s fault!

Tolle Querflöte!!! Sie klingt wie ein viel teureres Instrument und lässt sich sehr gut spielen. Alles präzise gearbeitet und eingestellt. Das Anblasen gelingt leicht und es gibt noch viel Zubehör. Also unbedingte Empfehlung!

Schon lange hatte ich von einer Querflöte geträumt, aber die hohen Anschaffungskosten für ein Instrument, das ich vielleicht gar nicht bewältige, waren mir dann doch immer zu hoch. Aber dann bin ich auf die guten Rezensionen zu diesem Instrument auf YouTube gestoßen. Zunächst dachte ich mir, das Lob muss übertrieben sein. Für den Preis kann das Instrument meine Erwartungen gar nicht erfüllen. Hat es nun aber nach den ersten beiden Tagen des Testens und ersten Übens nun eindeutig doch. Obwohl ich beim ersten Versuch gar keinen richtigen Ton herausbringen konnte, kann ich nun am zweiten Tag bereits die ersten Töne und rudimentären Melodien darauf spielen. Ich musste nichts fein einstellen, sondern alles war richtig eingestellt und sofort benutzbar. Auch das Zubehör zur Reinigung und zum Abstellen sind vorbildlich und wirklich eine Freude anzuwenden, genauso wie der hochwertige und für die Querflöte sichere Verpackungskoffer. Diese Querflöte hat mich als langjährige Klavier- und Geigenspielerin überzeugt, meine Instrumente noch zu erweitern. Es ist wirklich eine Freude, damit dieses anspruchsvolle Instrument zu erlernen. Also eine klare Empfehlung von mir, denn bei dieser hochwertigen Verarbeitung von Instrument und Zubehör kann ich gar nicht anders, als es zu loben.

Flauto di eccellente fattura! (ma quale “giocattolo”, come ha scritto incomprensibilmente qualcuno, tanto é vero che ne ho acquistati due, uno da tenere di scorta). Nessuna necessità di regolazione, tasti silenziosi e stabili, meccaniche solide, sonorità ben bilanciata su tutte le tre ottave, bellissima cromatura. Suono uguale, se non superiore, al mio semi professionale di argento massiccio, che devo portare a revisionare. Soltanto dopo scoprii che il metallo, fosse anche platino, non ha alcun effetto utile la sonorità, che dipende dall’ imboccatura del flautista, dalla boccola della testata, e dalla corretta chiusura dei tamponi.
