ZORZA 1Pcs High Voltage Generator Module Booster Coil 20KV High-Frequency AC 12V Low Heating

This module and coil works as described with low heating a nice powerful output. I use it to drive a Cockroft-Walton Voltage Multiplier and it works very well.

I recently tried this product and found the design to be quite appealing. However, the operating frequency was quite unstable; it fluctuated significantly from around 30 KHz to almost 300 KHz, which was disappointing.

The listing says the suggested power supply voltage is 2V. This is incorrect - the output voltage does not even turn on until the input voltage is over 5V. That being said, as long as you can supply at least 6 volts this device works as described. With 6V input the device drew about 0.8 amps and was able to strike an arc at a maximum distance of 0.06", which means the output is about 3.5 kV, and drew about 0.8 amps. With 9V input the device drew about 1.5 amps and was able to strike an arc at a maximum distance of 0.11" or about 8 kV.

Very cute module, you can overdrive it and still won’t get even warm

Works great but it's been arcing between secondary coil and eventually burn it self out so it needs some improvement.
